MAGNUS
╚══════ ≪≫°✺°≪ ≫ ══════╝
If he was being honest, Magnus had no idea what had happened. He had spent basically the rest of the weekend thinking about it, forgot it for a while when he was getting falafel because it required his full attention, and then stayed up all night Sunday contemplating what to do about it.
The biggest question he had about it was, what did he even think about it? It was obvious Alex liked him, otherwise they wouldn't have kissed, but what did that mean? Also, not to mention, did Magnus even like Alex like that?
"Magnus, you good?" Magnus glanced up at T.J, snapped out of his thoughts.
"Uh- what?" he asked.
"You good?" T.J repeated. Magnus shrugged.
"I got like, zero sleep last night," he responded.
"Were you busy thinking about Alex?" Mallory slyly asked, wiggling her eyebrows. Magnus felt his stomach drop. "I mean, she did look pretty damn cute in that skirt on Saturday."
"Why, uh, why would I be thinking about Alex?" Magnus stuttered.
"'Cause, I'm hot as hell." Alex sat down next to Mallory with her tray of incredibly questionable breakfast foods from the cafeteria.
"Pronouns?" Mallory asked, turning to Alex
"He/him today," Alex responded.
"Kay," Mallory said, taking one of the grapes from Alex's tray and popping it into her mouth.
"Anyway, how was everyone's weekend?" Halfborn asked. His nose ended up being bruised by the general strength of Mallory's snowball throwing, though most of the time the snowballs hit his face because he bent down to get a handful of snow at the wrong moment.
"Way too short," Alex replied. "I hardly left my room."
"Don't you like... always stay in your room anyway?" Magnus asked jokingly. Alex snapped his head up to meet Magnus' eyes, sticking his tongue out in a "shut up" way.
"That," he said. "Is beside the point."
"You could have come over to my house," Mallory said. "I mean, Halfborn was there, but I could have kicked him out."
"Woman, I am your boyfriend!" Halfborn complained.
"And I told you to stop calling me that!" Mallory snapped back. The two started arguing, but everyone else had gotten used to it so long ago they just ignored it and talked until the bell rang.
Magnus and Alex waved goodbye to the rest of the group and walked down the elective hall to the art room. They took their usual seats in the back of the classroom and waited for the class to start.
"So, uh, what about Saturday?" Magnus finally asked quietly. Alex glanced over at him.
"What about it?" he asked.
"I mean, like..." Magnus found himself searching for words, someone shocked that Alex had simply brushed it off like it was some sort of game. "Just... what happened?"
"What do you mean?" Alex asked.
"I just... Never mind, I guess," Magnus said quietly. Alex shrugged and turned to the front of the room, full focus on the lesson.
