MAGNUS

"So, Magnus, I had an idea," Sam said, sitting down next to Magnus at the lunch table during breakfast.

"Oh? And what is that?" Magnus asked.

"Since you and Alex are basically dating," Sam started.

"I don't think we count as 'dating,' Sam," Magnus interrupted.

"You've gone on a date, of course you count as dating," Sam continued. "You just haven't made your relationship official yet."

"Okay? Continue, I guess."

"Alright, I thought we could do a double date with Amir and Alex this weekend," Sam explained. "I talked to my grandparents about it and they said they were okay with it since they've wanted to do their own little date for a while, so I thought we could go to a restaurant if you guys want."

"Does Alex know about this?" Magnus asked.

"I talked to her about it on the way to school and she thinks it's a good idea," Sam replied.

"Where is Alex, by the way?" Magnus asked.

"She's getting something from her locker," Sam replied. "Don't change the subject. Want to go to Applebee's or something?"

"Yeah, sure. What time?"

"I don't know, we're still working it out. I'll text you the details later tonight. This Saturday, though."

"'Kay. Sounds good."

Button up shirts weren't really Magnus' thing. Alex, however, had insisted because she wanted to match, since her current aesthetic was dark academia and really wanted to dress up tonight. So, Magnus had told Randolph about his issue, who had laughed and gave Magnus a white button up and dress shoes.

That wasn't to say Magnus didn't think he didn't look good in the shirt. With a nice and (mostly) clean pair of jeans, he would daresay he looked super cute, which Alex would undoubtedly comment on.

So, Magnus slipped his phone, wallet, and keys into his pocket and went downstairs to get Alex from her apartment. As soon as he rang the doorbell, the door swung open to reveal Alex in her incredibly fashionable black button up, dark brown blazer and matching brown high-waisted pants.

"What do you think?" Alex asked, closing the door behind her and giving a spin for the sake of Magnus.

"Positively smashing," Magnus teased in a horrible British accent.

"Oh my gods, shut up," Alex laughed. "Come on, let's go. Sam is probably already waiting at Applebee's, knowing her."

"I'm driving, though," Magnus said as they walked to the elevator and pressed the button to the underground parking garage, which he hardly ever used (mostly because his gay ass can't drive, let's be real).

"Are you excited?" Alex asked Magnus, buckling her seat belt once they got into the car. Magnus turned the key in the ignition and started backing up.

"Kinda? I don't really like restaurants, though. They're always so loud and noisy, I hate it. Unless it's Fadlan's Falafel, of course," he replied. "You?"

"I'm excited to be with you and Sam, and Amir isn't bad. I hate everything else, though," Alex said.

"Aw, I'm flattered," Magnus teased.
