MAGNUS

"Why are we watching this again?" T.J asked Magnus, gesturing to the corny show on the television.

"Shut up, Kurt is coming out to his dad," Magnus hissed, eyes watering as Kurt Elizabeth Hummel told his dad we was gay. "This show is so great," he sniffled.

"It's so bad," T.J corrected. Magnus gasped.

"I'm going to have to ask you to leave." He pointed to the door.

"Magnus, you can't be serious," T.J said with a raised eyebrow.

"This is the most attached I have been to a show in years, T.J. years," Magnus said. "Glee is now my life force."

"You're so dramatic," T.J muttered. Magnus glared at his friend as episode four ended, but he didn't deny it. Mostly because it was true and he knew it. He opened his mouth to say something, but was cut off by his phone ringing.

"Is that... Don't Stop Believing?" T.J asked, referring to the ringtone.

"Yeah, it's Alex," Magnus said, answering the phone. "Hey, what's up?"

"Hi- are you free right now?" Alex's voice came back.

"Yeah, why?" Magnus asked.

"Can you meet me at the park in like ten minutes?" Alex asked, sounding kind of choked up.

"Have you been crying?" Magnus asked, concerned.

"Just- meet me at the park." The phone call ended. Magnus brought his phone down from his ear, glancing down at the screen, confused.

"You and Alex going on a date?" T.J asked with a wink.

"No- uh, I gotta go. You can stay here if you want," Magnus said, turning off the TV and slipping on some sneakers before walking out the door and down into Boston. It was pretty cold, but it didn't really seem to matter, since the park wasn't too far away.

Magnus sent a quick glance around the park, spotting Alex sitting at the top of one of the slides.

"Hey, are you okay?" Magnus asked, going to sit next to him. At least, he assumed it was he/him today, since Alex generally dressed up more feminine on she/her days, even if it was freezing cold, and he looked quite masculine today, though never anything less than fashionable.

"I'd like to lie and say yes, but actually, no," Alex admitted quietly.

"Wanna talk about it?" Magnus asked. Alex looked over at Magnus, obviously trying to blink back tears. "Hey..." Magnus said quietly, pulling Alex into a hug, which he didn't object to.

"I- I'm sorry," Alex whispered, wiping tears from his eyes. "Everything's just been going to shit recently."

"You don't have to apologize, Alex," Magnus said. "Do you need to tell me about it?" Alex pulled away, blowing out a breath.

"It's just... my dad and step-mom are super fucking transphobic or... so they don't really... support me and uh... they just said some really horrible shit to me so I kinda just left the house," Alex explained. His eyes were red and puffy, and he had that choked-up voice, making it super obvious that he had been crying. Magnus met Alex's eyes sympathetically, hoping it didn't look like he was pitying his friend.

"This is probably a really dumb time to ask," Magnus started. "But I don't want to use the wrong pronouns... he and him right?" A smile tugged at Alex's lips as the two looked at each other.
