Wang Yibo's POV

I held my head on my knees while sighing deeply, they weren't treating me awful, but neither was it a place to call home, especially when I see that agent Sean all the time.

He had all the features of my ge, yet his attitude was so different, I didn't fully believe that he killed my ge, but maybe this world is indeed so small, and maybe there exists another universe where my ge did not leave me, and I get a happily ever after.

So many maybe's in my life yet no reality.

Whenever I would look into Sean's eyes, I would see my ge inside them, but I couldn't hold back the though they had the same bracelet, I just couldn't.

Why was fate playing so cruelly with me?

I shivered in the thin clothing I wore while I closed my eyes, slowly rocking myself on a soft pace, trying to imagine my ge ge back hugging me while placing a small kiss on my ear like he used to do, and then hearing his melodiously soothing voice whispering into my ear.

Maybe my ge did indeed died the very same night he disappeared, yet I felt some hope inside me, like a light because my ge was like wildflowers.

He was the free lively type who smiled unconsciously, no matter what happened, he wasn't like Sean, my ge was different.

My mind was about to daze off again when I heard it; a loud thunder, filling the whole room and the atmosphere.

I was unconsciously shaking while I heard the rain dropping on the outside without loud thunders following, and flashes, it reminded me of the day my ge disappeared.

It had the exact same weather, and I always assumed that I would have felt it if something horrible happened to my ge, yet when he disappeared I felt nothing but emptiness filling me, craving for answers that weren't there.

Almost as if he disappeared from existence, I wasn't even able to remember his name somehow, and my memories with him were fading, his face was always blank, yet his voice was like the one of an angel, soft and soothing as if he was singing a lullaby whenever he talked.

I kept rocking myself when the door opened, showing a shadow of a person I couldn't see, and immediately I went into defence, feeling something wet touching my lips.

Two warm pair of arms held on to me while slowly a voice started whispering next to my ear, "it's okay Yibo, calm down, I'm here, shh," he kept whispering the words while tears ran down my face, the tears that never came on the so-called funeral of my ge because I didn't want to know he did really pass away without evidence.

"Shh, it's okay Yibo, calm down." I kept listening to the voice while sleepiness started to take over my body, I felt weak and wanted to sleep, I almost wasn't able to keep my eyes open.

So I forced myself to look, and I looked right into the face of Sean, the one resembling my ge ge in many aspects, and now when I listened carefully, their voices sounded so like each other.

"Ge . . . ?" He nodded, ruffling his fingers through my hair while holding my body in a warm embrace, I wanted to sleep, but I kept myself awake, staring at him.

"I will tell you everything after you wake up my little one, go sleep." His voice was soothing and made me sleepy, I closed my eyes, snuggling deeper into his hug while yawning before drifting off, with his voice murmuring something in the background of my mind, something that sounded like, I missed you . . .

A small boy got hidden in a dark corner while every one of his classmates passed him like he was nothing more than air, it was a saddening picture to see, and yet no one looked at him.

When another small boy around the same age appeared with the dazzling smile of an angel, everyone stopped what they were doing to look at the breathtaking smile of the sweet boy he was cute and sunny like the day.

His bright aura even made the boy sitting in the dark corner look up at him, and before he averted his gaze the other sweet boy had seen him, and the boy hugged his knees together while putting his head on his knees too.

The bright boy walked towards the corner where the other boy sat while many pairs of eyes were watching them.

When the bright boy who was known as Xiao Zhan reached the other boy; Wang Yibo, he slowly sat down next to him, poking his cheeks while Yibo tried to ignore him.

Zhan kept poking and poking Yibo's cheeks while giggling softly like a small baby it was an eyepopping sight for everyone one the yard because the Yibo they knew wouldn't let anyone ever touch him in whatever occasion, and yet here was this new boy poking his cheeks while getting ignored.

"Can you stop poking my cheeks?" The soft childish voice of a boy made everyone gasp, they had never heard Yibo talking since the first day of school, he was always alone and pushed everyone away who tried to come close.

"But you're cute!" Zhan pouted again with his chubby cheeks making everyone smile at the sweet sight of the two boys.

"I'm not cute!" This time it was Yibo who pouted, and he pinched Zhan's cheeks making Zhan pout too, and there they sat, two pouting small idiots, glaring at each other as if a third world war was going to break out.

"Yibo, this is Xiao Zhan, our new student at school," Miss Ziyi said, crouching down on the level of both boys, softly patting their heads while smiling sweetly at them, yet they both ignored her while they kept staring at each other with a big pout.

"HMPF, he called me cutie!" Yibo pointed at Zhan while turning away while Zhan made big doe eyes.

Unconsciously to Yibo in the doe eyes of Zhan, there started to create itself some big tears while Zhan rubbed his eyes with his small fist and tears threatened to fall.

Miss Ziyi was so busy with Yibo that she didn't notice the tears falling out of Zhan's eyes until he started to sob softly, and even before Miss Ziyi had turned around Yibo went to hug Zhan while rubbing his back.

"Uwuu, I am so sorry~" Both of them cried in union while Miss Ziyi held her hand in front of her mouth, preventing a laugh of escaping, those two silly boys were just so cute for words.

"Why did you even hug me?" Yibo put the same doe eyes on like Zhan had done a moment ago while looking at Zhan.

"B-Because my daddy told me to hug those with battle scars," little Zhan pointed at Zhan's whole human being, and unknown to Zhan others were not able to see the mental pain he saw, and yet as if Yibo understood he was different from others he gave him a small smile and nodded.

"So I told my daddy I also want battle scars, but he told me it's something extremely painful, and I would only understand when I am big as Miss Ziyi! And then I asked my daddy what to do when I saw someone with battle scars, and he told me to hug them . . ." With those words Zhan's doe yes started to tear up, again.

But even before he could let a tear fall two warm and protective arms were around his body like a shield, it was Yibo who hugged Zhan this time.

And Miss Ziyi who sat there crouched down next to the boys all this time smiled at their sweet interaction, the cold boy who pushed everyone away and the new sunny boy who smiled like an angel, it was something a person would die for.

"Will you stay with me?" Zhan held up his pink while looking at Yibo with a small pout visible on his lips.

"Always," and with those soft words whispered from his mouth, Yibo hooked his pink on the one of Zhan with a big grin that made his whole face up lit up.

And that day they made a vow to be each other backbone, and their promise would live forever, witnessed by themselves and Miss Ziyi . . .
