I hope your all keeping well I know these times are bloody awful so I hope this puts a smile on your face. I call this, modern poetry with added swearing :)
As the days grew colder and the nights grew longer, I began to notice a feeling
A feeling of longing
A feeling want
A feeling that for the bloody life of me I could not work out
I couldn't pin point the dam problem
Nothing seemed to balance out anymore
Nothing could soothe my racing heart
Scrolling endlessly through social media passing things I have no interest in.
Then I got the notification.
Casually it just sat there, perched at the top of my screen
Challenging me to open it
I would never back down from a challenge
So I opened it.
Oh how glad I am that I did.
It was a photo of you with the brightest smile
Dimples showing in your cheeks on the left side of the screen
Crinkles surrounded your eyes, filled with joy and love
Oh no.
Colours swam through my vision while I seemed to be in a haze
I couldn't work out what was going on with me
However finally the feeling of longing was fulfilled. Something had soothed my racing heart.
Or rather someone.
Oh shit
Oh my goodness
I can't believe it
It's you
Your my new feeling
