Chapter 10 2/2

"Where are we?" Kai asked, confused as he somehow made it back to the Aether. Only instead of darkness, it was pure white and it stretched out for eternity.

"The field of Immortality. Some of the Immortals who were erased from physical existence by Trihexa ended up here." Kazuto explains.

"Wait so he can wipe people away from existing? How are we supposed to fight him?"

"He only could do it by infecting them with the worse of evils. It'd destroy them from the inside and then they'd cease to physically exist. Their souls would end up here."

Kai observed the several wondering souls roaming across the field of Immortality. "I feel bad for the first one who ended up here. I bet he was lonely for a while."

"It doesn't get that lonely. Hades could make visits to this realm every so often so the souls don't end up going insane." Kazuto explains.

"So why are we even here?" Kai asked as he looked around.

"To ask for knowledge. We need to learn about something." Kazuto responded as he started beaming a bright light.

The souls became attracted to him like a moth to a light.

Small whispers were heard by Kai and Kazuto as a gust of wind blew at them.

"Hm? What the hell?" Kai asked waking up next to Rias, who was just watching him sleep for the past 30 minutes.

She reached over and rubbed his stomach. "Hey baby are you okay?" She asked as she stared at him lovingly.

"Yeah, I just had another dream with Kazuto in it. I think he keeps reaching out in my dream for a reason but I'm not sure." He responded as he faced her.

"Let's go back to sleep baby? I love you." Rias said as she leaned over to kiss Kai, he smirked and kissed her back.

"I'm gonna get some water first, Rias. I love you too though." He said as he got up from his bed and went to the kitchen to get some water.

There he ran into Akeno, who was searching through the refrigerator for food.

"Good morning, Kai. What woke you up?" She asked as she turned to him.

"Bad dream." He responded dryly.

"What has you so fucking dry?" She inquired angrily.

"Well maybe the fact that you cheated on me. That's what has me dry, Akeno. I can't talk to someone who broke my heart."

"You're still not over it? Grow up Kai, it wasn't even that serious."

"I gave you everything, Akeno. I loved you through anything. I gave up some of my best friends for you. So yes it was that serious. Fuck you."

"You want the truth? Huh Kai? Do you want the fucking truth?"

"Yeah sure go ahead."

"I already told you I loved Issei more but you don't understand. Even on dates with you I'd go to the bathroom to take pictures for him. I fell in love with him harder than I loved you. I stayed with you because you bought me stuff and gave me attention but I always craved him."

A tear fell from Kai's eye as he walked back to his room, regretting even engaging in a conversation with Akeno.

How could she love Issei more? Issei was the opposite of Kai in the worst aspects. For every date Kai would take her on, instead Issei would make her try something new in sex.

A man who cherished her over a boy who cherished her body and she always picked the latter.

The following morning, Kai woke up a bit earlier, feeling like shit from what Akeno said.

Rias sensed something was wrong and wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips against his cheek. "I love you so much, Kai. Please cheer up. I hate seeing you upset babyboy."

"Hey Rias, I-"

Before he could say anything, Kazuto appeared in his room with a book in his hand.

"Look what I found." He said as he placed the book at the end of the bed.

"What is it?" Kai asked as he picked up the book.

"The book of Prophecies. The spirits guided to the book. We need to read it together and decipher what it means. It was written at least 700,000 years ago so the translations still sound weird." Kazuto explained.

"What's in here and why is it important?"

"It dictates the fate of the world. No matter what happens, one of the outcomes will happen so we need to get to work on it." Kazuto said with a serious expression.

A/N: I'd give this story like 10 more chapters and then wrap it up cuz I know what I want to happen already.
