flying; using her specialised winged jetpack, val is able to fly at very fast subsonic speeds, but with an enhanced degree of manoeuvrability and agility similar to that of an actual condor/vulture. 

enhanced vision; the suit's combat goggles allow fords to view in multiple spectrums and see objects that are either too far away or too small to be seen by the naked eye.

cyborg arm; born without her right arm, val has a cyborg arm to replace it. this arm has the normal functions of a human arm, except it is incredibly strong and durable.

personality: driven to do her utmost best, val never lets herself off the hook. she's determined to show other people what she's made of. val isn't one for dreaming up new worlds, but instead interested in making things better in the real world. she's always smart and intuitive about how things work, and likes to get involved and just do it (rather than read/write/watch/listen to it). she's extremely hard working and realistic - though this can sometimes lead to her focusing on the negatives instead of the possibilities. val can sometimes come across as uptight or 'too serious' due to her sensitive personality - she has zero tolerance for when she or someone she likes is being made fun of (note that this is only in situations that have passed being a joke). furthermore, she has a strong will and is not afraid to break the rules. she is cunning and resourceful and achievement-orientated, and can quite often lose her temper when she does something wrong. she has a knack for taking charge and leading, being an incredibly determined person when it suits her best. though can be seen as somewhat insensitive and detached, she does have a soft spot for people who have understood what she's gone through - whether this be from losing someone, or having a disability. she is also quite intelligent when it comes to technology and mechanics. moreover, val can sometimes come across as mean due to her brutal honesty and isn't very good at being gentle, which is why she sucks at working with real animals - hence her monkey a.i. she's outgoing and egotistic and is a big believer in 'actions speak louder than words'. she also has major trust issues.
