I start out the room in search for Peeta. I hear the sound of a running bath coming from the bathroom. 'Oh he must have wanted to take a bath' I think. I also hear clanging coming from the kitchen on the floor below me. This worries me, so I race down the stairs only to find Peeta. I sigh in relief. Just then, he starts to thrash around the kitchen. I raise my eyebrows and sprint over to Peeta. His back is turned, so I turn him around and his eyes are not the color I was looking for.
He pushes me up the stairs and into the bathroom. At this point in time I am trying to knock Peeta back into reality. I am shoved into the bath and slowly air is leaving my lungs. I open my eyes and try to regain balance, but it is a hopeless thought. The water overflows and is splashed onto the floor. Either Peeta covered the bath with something dark, or I have passed out. Either way, I only see darkness.
When I wake, I am in bed with Peeta holding me. He is crying. I am also soaking wet. Peeta must have come back into reality and carried me out of the bath. I jerk out of bed and leap to the floor. Peeta is upset by the way I have reacted and then exits the room.
After hours of coaxing myself back to sanity, I decide I want to change from the soaking outfit I was once in, into a dress, since the sun has already risen.
I decide on a orange one, that reminds me of the sunset. The dress reminds me of Peeta, but I am too afraid to go near him before he assures me that he is okay. Love is dangerous, Peeta makes it deathly.
I step into the bathroom, where I was once drowned and wash my face. The tub is still half-full, the other half on the floor. The room's air becomes dense, so I decide to prop open the window in the back of the room. As I am looking out of the window, I spot Gale, heading towards my house.
I braid my hair into a single braid and head down the stairs. Gale knocks on the door and I answer. I greet him at the door, and immediately he notices something is wrong. "Have you still not seen Peeta?" he asks.
"Oh no, I have. I just haven't gotten much sleep, that's all." I reply. He nods unwillingly. He enters the center of my home, the family room. We sip tea and chat for hours. After, he finally decides it's time for him to leave. I wave him out and he is gone.
I am now alone and find myself fumbling through my braid until it is not a braid anymore. All I can think about is Peeta. It is almost midnight and I am running down the stairs toward Peeta's house. I pound on the door until he opens it. There he stands, the boy with the bread.
