12:00 PM, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama, Year 2051On a sunny afternoon, the streets barely had any movement as a pair of purples eyes scanned them from behind the lenses of dark sunglasses. Jiro, clad in a grey short-sleeved shirt, black cargo pants and black boots, and Maho, who wore a navy blue matching shirt and pants along with black shoes, were trekking along the road as they looked to reach Kyoto as soon as possible.
"There's a train station in this ward, so why should we go all the way to Kohoku?" - said Jiro to his taller companion
"Because the shinkansen in Shin-Yokohama can take us to Kyoto in about 2 hours. Much better than a 8 hour regular train trip" - retorted Maho
"We should take a taxi to Kohoku, though I doubt we'll find any so soon" - she continued as they walked.
"That seems alright, but what about the people following us? You said they were 3. And judging by the name they were given, I'd reckon they could try to sniff us out" - Jiro replied, visibly on edge due to the knowledge that they were being pursued.
"We'll cross that bridge when we get there" - Maho stated calmly.
Taking a few turns through the path they were on, they left the rundown neighborhood where they camped at, reaching a street bustling with the movement of cars and people everywhere. They walked to the nearest cab stand and waited for a few minutes before a cab pulled up and they entered, both of them taking a place in the backseat.
"Take us to Kohoku" - said Maho, as she opened her wallet, ready to pay the fee for the trip.
"That'll be ¥6000, ma'am" - replied the driver, turning around and extending his arm to receive the money. Having received it, he turned back to the road, setting the course for the trip on the GPS, and after checking for any incoming cars, got on the road.
"Think they've caught sight of us by now?" - asked Jiro as he looked out the window, almost absentmindedly.
"If they have, then they're being pretty relaxed about the situation. Better for us though, as soon as we reach Kohoku we can go and take the Shinkansen" - retorted the green-haired woman.
"I've got a plan for this chase of theirs, and I need you to hear me out carefully. We're gonna give them what they want and-" he never finished because Maho reacted immediately
"WHAT!? Absolutely not, we are not doing that" - said Maho in a stern tone, visibly angered by the suggestion
"Hear me out. We want to take them down but we don't even know where their HQ is, so place a tracker on me and let them take me away. Since I'm gonna be a high priority prisoner, you monitor my location and we'll know where their HQ is." - answered Jiro as he showed Maho the tracker, before turning it on and sticking it on his inner left thigh.
"You have some very quirky conversations. Are you writing a manga perhaps? Maybe a play? - asked the driver without looking back or to the side, completely focused on the road ahead.
"It's nothing you need to be concerned about. Just keep driving, sir" - answered Jiro
"What if we can't rescue you before they can create another super soldier? We can't possibly run that risk" - said Maho in a more calm but audibly worried tone of voice.
"I trust you and Kaze to free me before that happens. From there, we take the fight to them. Take down their leader and destroy those labs from hell. Then, we can finally live free." - answered Jiro
