Slowly, the sun rises, gleaming thru the window is a bright tint of yellow illuminating from the sun. The blinds slightly drift apart allowing the light to glare directly into the eyes of a sleeping young girl, her olive toned skinned, illuminated by the yellow glare of the sun. She sways slightly side to side as she reluctantly opens her eyes, gently rubbing her eyelids clean removing the dry mascara from the day before, slowly sitting up, she mumbles softly to herself, "I swear I closed those curtains last night before I went to bed, but once again the damn sun wakes me", a soft yawn send chills thru her body, she throws her blankets forcing herself to get up. Toward the window she began to stumble eventually closing the blinds, "that fixes that," she says while rubbing both her eyes to get use to the rooms darkened tone, "I bet my dad did that just to mess with me he's always nagging me to wake up early," she mumbles, "He does know it's Saturday, Right ?" she rolls her eyes with a sigh of disappointment.
Looking back she sees her phone laying on the floor next to her bed, "what the fu-", she mutters, "how'd my phone get on the floor", she finishes he thought quietly in her head, "I left it on my table last night, first the curtains now my phone this is so weird", she finishes as places her thumb onto her to unlock it, it vibrates |finger print not recognized enter password| her phone reads ,"shit", she exclaims,"it's to early for typing", she continues as she pulls her sleeve down using it as a cloth to wipe the button of her phone, laying her thumb down again onto her phone it immediately unlocks directly to the camera, showing a young girl with brown eyes and messy black hair, "WOAH", "no thank you", she jokes, "if I wanted to look at garbage I would've kept my blinds open at watched the neighbors", she says with a chuckle while swiping through her phone checking several apps for messages noticing strangely she has none. "That's weird I know I'm not that popular but I usually have at least a few people who text me", she says in confusion, "MACKAELA!", a female voice announces in question, "ARE YOU AWAKE!", the girl immediately looks up from her phone and walks toward her door begrudgingly, just as she reaches the stairs while looking down at her phone she realizes, "I don't have any pants on", she thinks to herself while running back to her room, "that was close mom almost saw them", she says in a distant tone while feeling along her leg, the girl then quickly puts pants on.
Grabbing her phone and promptly walking down the stairs shyly slightly looking up from the ground eyes just high enough to be seen by the women, "yes mom I'm awake", the girl says to the women who is clearly her mother, "that's good I'm glad your awake early for once, have you cleaned your room?", she questions with a smile, the girl who's name is Mackaela looks up at her mother and responds,"n-no mom I haven't really felt good lately everything just feels so-", before she can finish explaining her mom cuts her off, "I didn't ask for excuses I asked you if you had cleaned your room now shut up and go clean your room", she sternly announces. Mackaela slowly walks back to her room throwing herself onto the bed grabbing her phone and looking around.
"Where are they, I know there's some around here", she says through teary eyes, she reaches swiftly for a jar pulling a shiny metal object out, whispering to herself,"I'm sorry", just as she's sliding her sweatpants down and placing the blade near her flesh a notification tone comes from her phone, the message reads |Im sorry I didn't text you last night I passed out please tell me your ok|, Mackaelas grip went lose the blade fell from her hand and her phone from the other her hands reached for her mouth to cover her cry's she mumbles two words, "thank you", as she goes numb laying spread out across the floor, the notifications continue |please text me|,|I need to know your safe|,|talk to me|,|please be safe|, with all the strength left in her body she reaches for her phone and sends one message consisting of just two words |thank you| as she send it the tears begin to fall again her phone falls from her hand as she passes out.
