harry's pov

The next morning, when I was alone in my dorm, i threw my hand behind my pillow and pulled out my journal. Or like many of you like to call it, my diary. I haven't always written much in there, not until I met Y/n. Now I'm constantly writing in it, every class, every day at breakfast, and dinner. I grab the nearest pen, too lazy to grab a quill from the desk across the room. I flip to the next blank page, and begin to write.

Though I've never had a conversation with my parents about love. I heard from many, from many that they loved each other unconditionally. They were irrespirable. Their love grew stronger and stronger throughout their years together, and they enjoyed every moment together until the very end. I want to be like my parents, Lily and James Potter. They've taught me many things spiritually, I've had dreams with my parents, telling me what it feels like finally finding the one. I don't want to make assumptions, but I think I have. I have found her mom and dad, and I know you'd love her. She has emerald green eyes and long wavy black hair. Her hair matches her robe, along with her eyes matching the slits of green sown on representing her house. I never thought I'd ever fall in love, especially with you my dearest Y/n.

I shut my diary and throw it in my bag. Today a Saturday, no classes, so we can all hang round the castle. My plans for after breakfast are to head to the common room with Ginny, Ron and Hermione. I grab everything and head out of my room, running down the stairs towards the Great Hall to grab breakfast. As I enter, I thought maybe I'd come across Y/n, sitting and eating breakfast too, but she was no where to be seen in the grand Great Hall.

Everyone had seemed to finish breakfast already, and be on their way out of the hall. I grab something random and follow everyone out, eventually catching up with Ron, Hermione and Ginny.

"Oh look sleepy head finally decided to show up." Ron said turning around.

"Yea, good morning." I laugh.

"Where were you last night, you left the party without anyone knowing, and came all drenched from the rain." Ron added questioning.

"Just decided to get fresh air before I went to bed." I responded without any suspicion.

As we enter the common room, we go and sit by the fireplace keeping the whole room nice and warm. We all sit on the floor, I sit a little bit further away from them all, and ignore their conversation. I grab my diary out of my bag, and flip through the pages, and look if it looks neat.

"Do you ever put that journal of yours down?" Hermione asks with a sigh.

"Sorry to bother you with it Hermione." I laugh.

Hermione reaches over and tries to grab it, " What do you even write in there? Let me see."

I stand up, walking away from her, "Oh it really is nothing, just some notes."

"Then let me see your notes Harry." She came closer.

I suddenly felt a tug on my book and it left my hand. Turning around seeing that it was now in Ginny's hands.

"Hey! You have no right to grab that." I yell.

Ginny laughs along with her brother Ron, and flip to the most recent page that was filled with words.

"I never thought I'd ever fall in love, especially with you my dearest Y/n." She reads aloud.

I sink in embarrassment, as I stand frozen.

"Why didn't you tell us Harry? That you caught feelings for the girl from the party?" Hermione asks.

I don't answer, I rip the journal out of Ginny's hands. And walk away.

"He's embarrassed Hermione." Ginny adds.

I shut the common room doors and walk down the stairs. I cross paths with Dumbledore, watching me walk past him without a word. He didn't seem to question it. I run outside, getting the smell of wet grass, and cold air. I turn the corner, and sit on the hidden bench.

And let out a lonesome tear.
