Unexpected meeting (PT. 2)
Sophia's P.O.V
I finally returned to Vegas and met up with my friend Tiff, who was visiting for the weekend and decided to catch up.
Tiff: so what's new with you?
Sophia: not a bunch, been playing 'avoid the ex' for the past three days now.
Tiff: is it the one you dated in college?
Sophia: yes and it didn't help that I seen him while I was in New York along with staying in the same hotel as him.
Tiff: what happened between you and him?
Sophia: I caught him cheating so I broke up with him and seeing him again back those feelings...
Tiff: have you tried talking to him? I hear that clearing the air will help a person move on.
Sophia: I can't talk with him, I don't know if I could ever speak to him again...
Tiff: you should at least try talking to him. I hate rushing off but I promised someone that I would meet them for dinner.
I gave her a hug before she left. I begun walking back home but was grabbed by a strange man that was hiding in a black alley, I fainted before finding out what happened and woke up in an unfamiliar room, I slowly climbed out of the bed and pulled my hoodie over my head after noticing that my clothes were missing. I opened the door and seen him standing in front of me with a worried look on his face.
Sophia: why am I here?
Zak: you needed help and I couldn't let that guy rape you so I brought you to my house.
Sophia: thank you but you shouldn't have brought me here.
Zak: look Sophia, I know that I broke your heart but I wanted to apologize.
Sophia: you cheated on me Zak, I loved you and you betrayed that.
Zak: I am sorry Sophia...
Sophia: I need to leave, where are my clothes?
Zak: I am afraid they were destroyed.
Sophia: I can't believe this is happening...
I walked back into the bedroom and slammed the door in his face. I immediately began searching for anything that could fit me but found nothing except for the hoodie that was laying on the bed next to me...
I walked back through the door and quickly sat down next to Zak.
Sophia: I am sorry for the way I acted but I need to leave...
Zak: I have been waiting for this opportunity for years and I feel as if it is bothering you.
Sophia: it is bothering me, you expect me to forgive you as if it never happened. I have to go...
Zak: come on, I will take you home.
The drive was a long and quiet one as I suddenly remembered what Tiff told me and I knew she was right, I needed to move on with my life and forgive him for what he did in the past.
Sophia: I know that my attitude toward seeing you again doesn't help things but I forgive you Zak.
Zak: I didn't expect you to be sweet as candy Sophia but I am truly sorry for cheating on you, I hope we can hang out more after this but I will understand if you don't want to see me again.
Sophia: I need some time to think about it Zak but I will contact you when that time comes and thank you for giving me a ride home.
Zak: you are welcome. I will see you around I guess.
I got out of his car and headed inside after unlocking the door while he slowly drove away. I just hoped I wouldn't regret forgiving him so quickly but I needed to move on with my life instead of holding a grudge for what he did so many years ago.
