Zak's POV
Righting wrongs...
After Sophia left I quickly walked back inside and seen disappointment the guys had on their faces but didn't speak a word.
Zak: thank you for the birthday party guys, I have to get Gracie home so I will see you around.
Aaron: the surprise party was Soph's idea we just helped her put everything together...
Zak: I should have known it was her idea, she was always so thoughtful to anyone she knew. Perhaps I should go thank her.
Aaron: you should, because she bought everything inside the office.
Billy: come on Aaron I will take you home...
Jay: wait up Billy, I am right behind you. See you later Zak.
I knew that I did wrong by saying the things I told her so I did the only thing
I could and apologize to her. I slowly walked to the front door of her apartment and knocked, she opened the door as quick as possible and looked at me with aggravation
Sophia: what are you doing here?
Zak: I know that you probably don't want to see me right now but I was hoping that we can talk
Sophia: this is bold of you and I was hoping that you would show up...come inside.
Zak: I wanted to apologize for the---
Sophia: we will talk in a few I promise... Mom you remember Zak don't you?
Her mom: yeah I remember him, I also remember the day you come home crying because of how he treated you.
She began speaking to Sophia in spanish while I listened as she responded back to her in the same language. It reminded me of the day we graduated, her mom had been trying to get her attention and yelled at her in their native language just so she could get a picture of us before I left.
Her mom: I just remembered that I need to be somewhere, I will see you later sweetheart.
Sophia: see you later mom... So what did you want to talk to me about?
Zak: I wanted to apologize for how I acted earlier, I didn't realize that you were responsible for the surprise party until after you left...
Sophia: I hope you two aren't arguing but Aaron told me what was said after I left.
Zak: we aren't arguing, he has been upset about us not being together since our last breakup.
Sophia: he only wants you to be happy just like I do...
Zak: he means well but he can be overbearing sometimes, almost like an older brother is to a baby sister.
Sophia: I love Aaron like a brother and he really does mean well.
Zak: he thinks of you like his sister, you know sometimes I wonder what our life would have been like if you and I never met...
Sophia: I often wonder the same thing some days, but for what it's worth I don't regret us meeting no matter what we go through...
