Chapter 3

Diamond~
Im in the middle of a field under a large circle of trees. Dexters with me and he's dressed nice, he has dark denim jeans on with a black button up shirt thats folded to his elbows. I couldn't help but blush at how he smiled at me. I was wearing dark skinny jeans and a black shirt with converse, my hair was down for once and was curled unlike my usual straight hair.

Dexter grabs my hand intertwining our fingers, little sparks of pleasure shoot through my body and i cant help but smile. Yes I'm only 15 but I've never thought about someone like i do with him. Wait how old is dexter, you know what i don't even care I'm to happy right now.

Dexter leads me to a huge tree with a picnic blanket at the front of it. i know its dark out but theres light around us, dexter seems to notice and he pulls me into a hug; dexter gently holds my chin pushing my head back as i look up. Small mason jars with tiny white candles in them hang from every low tree branch above us.

How dexter knew i liked mason jar art ill never know, he sits down on the picnic blanket and i sit criss crossed next to him. He's still smiling at me, i cant help but smile at him. He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me close to him, he smells so good it makes me breath a little deeper.

He slowly leans in and i close my eyes. our lips brush together.

I jolt awake from a heavy weight landing on me. ow whats on me i turn my head opening my eyes and then i see the blonde and black hair. Jacklyn, the fab one. i push her off and she hugs me screaming good morning. I shush her, "jacklyn shh youll wake my dad."

"Don't worry he's already gone," she said smiling.

Jacklyn's my best friend, i told her that my dad is abusive towards me before i even thought of telling Jozlynn. I had known jacklyn longer to she was just practically my best friend ever no one else good replace her.

"Diamond get dressed jozlynn is on vacation with her family for a few weeks so its gonna be me and you hanging out," she said excitedly.

"Sure I'll meet you down stairs, just give me a minute to get dressed," i groaned sitting up in bed. she nodded and skipped out of my room. i stood up and slipped on some white jeans and a blue t-shirt, and i grab my phone slipping it in my pocket grabbing my board. yeah i skate to, my brothers not the only one with the talent. but i let him have the glory of it. i walk the steps entering the kitchen where Jacklyn stands eating a box of my pizza Pringles.

"Jacklyn do u ever stop eating?" I ask smiling as she puts a Pringle in my mouth.

"No actually all i do is eat," she laughs while chewing on a Pringle.

Jacklyn has a food addiction, see where most girls say they barely eat well jacklyn only eats. But she weighs about as much as a five or six year old. jacklyn also has the energy of a kid thats ate maybe 3 gallons of icecream, drank 6 cups of coffee, and a energy bar. she pretty much never sits still.

She swallows and looks at me, "where were you last night? You didnt answer your phone when i called you."

Oh fuck she called. "oh you know jack me and dad had one of our fights, so i went for my walk." jacks my nickname for her and has been since we were 7.

She sits the food down. "oh ok I understand that i was worried," she hugs me. i smile and hug her back. after our short but meaningful hug jack let go and grabbed her board slipping her vans on.

I followed with her slipping my Converse on. The outside was warm and the wind was cool, everything dried up pretty quickly as it always did. We drop our boards and put a foot on them pushing one the pavement with the other, as we start we bring the other foot with the other and skate down the street on the road.

Yes its dangerous in most places but not here, no one ever uses there car here unless your going to work. sometimes not even then, we skate down to the intersection and theres Dexter carrying boxes into his house.

Jacklyn looks at me, "we've got someone new around, thats not normal."

Jacklyn is right no one ever moves here they usually move away from here. I doze off as he lifts a large box, his muscles are so noticeable its like there gonna tear through his shirt. during my doze my board hits the curb and i fall forward hitting the grass and rolling.

Jacklyn rushes over to me grabbing me up, "are you ok?" She says smiling and giggling. " i think diamond has a crush on a man," i punch her shoulder hard.

"Shut the fuck up jack," i laughed

She giggles and rubs her arm, "lets go say hi and welcome him to the community."

Jacklyn runs up to his driveway, and i follow carrying both of our boards. Jacklyn takes her board from me and dexter walks out of his new house walking down the driveway. he looks up seeing us and jacklyn jumps to shake his hand first.

Dexter~
I look at the short girl in front of me holding her hand out. i take it and shake. then theres diamond behind her i cant help but smile, shes looking better to and moving better then last night.

Her friend seems to be talking but all i do is nod and stare at Diamond. shes so beautiful, dexter stop your older then her shell never see anything in you. her friends voice finally breaks the barrier of thoughts, "welcome to the community, im Jacklyn."

"Im dexter.. hi Diamonds how are you feeling."

"Better thank you for asking," she said smiling with a blush. why is she blushing.

Her friends jaw drops and starts to blurt out thats why you were staring, but diamond covers her mouth. i smile and nod at diamond picking up another box.

"Been nice meeting you jacklyn and seeing you again Diamond," i smiled and walked into the house with the box smiling my head off.

But behind me i heard Diamond scolding jacklyn. all i could imagine was her smile and her blushing cheeks.

The day went by quick. it was full of unpacking and now i get to sit down. i turn on the tv and snuggle up with a blanket watching spongebob, yeah i still watch spongebob I'm a kid at heart.
