Karl is 10 Alex is 8 Nick is 7 ½

The three young boys sat on the couch together playing minecraft. It had been raining for a bit now.
Alex hated the rain. He had no reason to, he just hated it. The young boy just played minecraft with his friends.
"How about we go play in the rain..?" The young Karl asked with a smile. The young Nick stood up with a smile. "Yeah!"
The young Alex looked at the two. He silently shook his head a bit sitting on the couch still.
"Come on Alex! It'll be fun!" Nick said with a smile. The duck boy stood up walking over to his friends as they got on their rain stuff. He got on his as well looking at the rain pouring outside.
Karl's mother let them go play in the rain. Alex stood in the doorway watching the water droplets fall from the grey sky.
Karl looked over at Alex. "Come on Alex! Let's have fun!" The young boy smiled.
The duck boy shook his head again looking at the rain slight fear in his eyes.
Nick walked up the stairs of the porch going over to Alex. "Are you scared?" He asked.
The shorter boy nodded a bit looking at his friend. Karl came over as well. "Looks like we got a mission Nick!" He said looking at the other boy.
Nick nodded. "Alex we're gonna help you beat your fear..!" Karl said determinedly. Nick nodded with a smile.
Alex looked at the two, and he just nodded. "Okay..." he said softly.

"Okay put your first foot out." Karl said. "We're right here if you get scared." Nick said.
Alex looked at the wet wood on the porch, and he took a step. He continued slowly until he was fully outside.
He looked at Karl, and Nick who clapped with wide smiles. Alex looked around. "I like it..!" He said with a small giggle running around a bit in the rain.
Nick, and Karl followed him as they ran around the yard in the rain having fun.
Soon they came inside, dried off, and had hot chocolate made by Karl's mother.
Alex had fought his fear of the rain, and now the three could always play in the rain together when it did rain.
