Chapter 23

Time skip to capture the flag!

*Zoë/Star POV*

It's time for capture the flag! I can't wait to beat the campers. I did it a lot as a hunter but I can't wait to do it again. "Okay team! Huddle up!" Percy yelled. We all huddled up and he started talking, "Alright, here's our strategy, from now on we talk only through MM." We all looked at him, confused. He left our huddle and walked over to a bush. He raised his voice, "As I'm sure you know, Athena spawn, it's generally considered rude to eavesdrop, especially when invisible." The bush rustled and Annabeth stepped out, removing her hat as she did so. She glared at him, "How could you tell I was there?" He raised an eyebrow, "My whole team could have if they concentrated. Angel, would you please escort Miss. Chase back to her team?" Bianca stepped forward, "Of course Commander." She raised her hands and pointed her palms towards Annabeth, the shadows condensed around Bianca's hands. She thrust her hands forwards and the shadows floated off her hands and encircled Annabeth. Annabeth started to struggle but the shadows restrained her. She slowly dissolved into the shadows. 

Alright back to business. Remember to talk only in MM - Percy

What's the plan? - Luke

Okay so, we'll put the flag out in the open, - Percy

Out in the open!? Are you an idiot? - Calypso

Yes. His head is full of kelp. - Bianca

No, if we put it in the open we'll have the element of surprise. - Percy

Alright fine. - Calypso

Alright, Ethan, you're the guard, Bianca and Zoë, station yourselves in trees near the flag with your bows, Beckendorf, patrol relatively near the flag and lay traps, Leo, patrol the creek and lay traps, Will, station yourself in a tree halfway between Leo and Beckendorf with your bow, Nico, patrol near Will and try to stop them from getting through, Calypso and Silena, you attack from the side as a distraction. I'll take Luke and get the flag. - Percy

"Everyone understand?" He asked out loud. A chorus of yesses were heard. "Then what are we waiting for!?" He roared. "Elite's for the win!" Leo yelled. We all roared in agreement. "Let's go!" Bianca cheered. We all turned and sprinted into the woods, Ethan carrying the flag and the rest of us following. Once we crossed the creek into our side, people started splitting off from the group. We found a clearing and Ethan planted the flag firmly into the ground. Bianca and I went to trees of different heights, I climbed a high tree to keep lookout, she stayed closer to the ground so that if needed, she could jump down and help Ethan. 

*Leo/Blaze POV*

As soon as we crossed the creek I split off from the group and ran up and down the banks of the creek, laying as many traps as I could. I made sure that the areas I remembered as the most travelled ones were laid with the most traps. 

*Will/Dawn POV*

Nico and I split off from the group after Leo, as we ran off into the woods, Percy yelled after us, "No dilly-dallying you two!" Nico flushed bright red while I turned around and gave Percy the finger. He just laughed and kept running. After a while we found a suitable tree and I climbed up. Nico stood at the bottom of the tree for a moment, making sure I was comfortable, then walked off to start his patrol.

*Beckendorf/Forge POV*

A couple minutes after Nico and Will split off from the group, I gave Silena a kiss on the cheek and ran off. I ran in the opposite direction to Leo, so that if he didn't get a chance to lay traps there, my taps would be in the area he hadn't covered.
