Chapter 34

*Ethan/Avenger POV*

Why did Percy put me with the romans? They're so organized and I feel out of place. Oh well. At least I get to kill some monsters. I stabbed a dracnae and slashed at a cyclops. The romans were in some kind of formation. I don't know what they're doing but it seems to be working. They're killing monsters like it's Nobody's business. Oh look, a drakon. WAIT A DAM MINUTE! A DRAKON! Ah well, if I'm gonna die, so be it. I might as well go out with a bang. I charged the drakon, waving my sword and screaming "FOR CHAOS!" The drakon cocked its head and looked at me like, "Who is this tiny, insignificant little worm waving a toothpick?" I slid under the drakon and stabbed my sword as hard as I could into its armour less stomach. I slid out the other side and jumped to my feet. The drakon didn't seem hugely bothered by the sword currently lodged in its stomach. Onto plan B I guess. I grabbed onto it's tail and started climbing. When I reached it's neck I grabbed a knife from the bandolier across my chest and plunged it into a crack in the drakons armour. I scrambled around on its back, stabbing it wherever I could with my knives. Its tail whipped around trying to knock me off and it kept twisting its neck, trying to bite me. When I thought I'd done enough I jumped off, throwing one more knife at its eye on my way down. That seemed to do the trick and the drakon roared in pain before disintegrating into golden dust. Some of the golden dust swirled around me for a moment and when I looked down at myself after it disappeared my armour had changed. I now had drakon scale shoulder and shin pads and my wrist guards were also made from drakon scales. I guess Chaos did this. I looked at the sky, "Thanks Chaos!" The sky flickered and for a moment I could see the universe in all its glory.

*Zoë/Star POV*

The hunters were perched in trees around the border. When Percy gave the order they started firing. It was all going well until the enemy started returning fire. Hunters were falling out of the tees into the battle below. I quickly slung my bow across my back and jumped down to help them, unsheathing my knives in mid air. I stabbed a hellhound and knocked out an enemy demigod.

*Leo/Blaze POV*

I fought side by side with Beckendorf. I tossed fireballs and grenades while I fiddled with machines. I tossed away the machines and grabbed my pistols from the holsters at my side. I shot celestial bronze bullets at the enemy forces, being careful to hit enemy demigods in non lethal places. Beck had his sword out. The blade flickered with fire as he fought. I was enjoying myself, I hadn't fought like this in years, when I heard a yell. My blood ran cold, I'd know that yell anywhere. That's Jack. I sprinted in the direction of the yell, shooting anything in my way. When I reached Jack he was staring at a gaping hole in his stomach as Zack walked away calmly. I gritted my teeth, I hate him. He abandoned us all. But most of all he abandoned Jack, who relied on him. No one hurts my best friend and gets away with it. I shook my head, later. Plan your revenge later. Get your priorities straight Leo. I rushed to Jack's side as he slumped sideways. I bent over him, checking his pulse after he passed out. I sighed in relief, he's alive. His pulse is weak but it's there. I quickly MMed Will.

WILL -Leo
What? -Will
GET OVER HERE NOW!!! JACK'S DYING!!!  -Leo
WHAT?!? ON MY WAY!! -Will

I turned to the monsters that were closing in on me. Pity I can't stab Zack here and now but these monsters are the next best thing. I leapt into action, shooting and tossing fireballs. I made sure to stay near Jack until Will came and took him to the infirmary.

*Silena/Dove POV*

I gathered the little kids and brought them to the bubble Percy had made. I sat in the bubble for a while but quickly got bored. I know Percy put me here because I'm good with kids and not because I'm bad at fighting but it still stung a little. My entire life I'd been looked down upon because I'm a daughter of Aphrodite. That was actually one of the reasons I joined Kronos. The main one being that he threatened to kill Charlie. I stood up and left the bubble. I sprinted to the barrier and leapt into battle. I charmspoke the monsters into dropping their weapons and then stabbed them.

*Julia/Fate POV*

I stabbed monsters and knocked out demigods. This is fun. I spun and slashed at a monster, dunno what kind. It looked evil. I glanced around for Jack and saw Will carrying him on a  stretcher. I quickly dispatched the monster I was fighting and rushed over to them. "What happened to him?!" "Zack." Wills tone was grim. "Will you be able to save him?" Will nodded, "With every ounce of my healing knowledge and a bit of luck, yes, I will be able to save him." I nodded and stepped aside, letting Will carry him to the infirmary. I looked around at the monsters. Zack can wait, I'll kill him later. For now though, I'll kill these monsters.

*Bianca/Angel POV*

I looked at Nico, "You ready?" He nodded. We raised our hands and the ground cracked. A skeletal army crawled out of the crack and assembled. A commander climbed out and stood to attention in front of us. I gave him his orders and he saluted before leading a section of the army away to help the archers. Nico jumped onto a skeleton horse and galloped off in Luke's direction. About half of the army followed him. I ordered the remainder of the army to kill all the monsters and knock out the enemy demigods. I then joined the fight myself. We were doing really well. I glanced at Nico and Luke, they were doing well. Ethan had just taken down a drakon single handedly, everyone else was doing great. I stabbed an arai and felt a burning pain in my side. Stupid curses. I sensed something behind me and flicked my wrist. A diamond burst out of the ground and whizzed towards whatever it was. I heard a pained grunt. Guess it hit it's mark. I turned around to see what it was and my blood ran cold. "Kronos." He sneered at me, "Hello Miss Di Angelo." There was a small hole in his armour and ichor was leaking out. I lunged at him, trying to stab him. He just chuckled and snapped his fingers, completely immobilizing me. "Not so fast. As much as I'd like to kill you you're more use to me alive." I glared at him and struggled against whatever power he'd used to keep me still. Kronos reached out and placed his hand over my eyes. I lost consciousness.

*Percy/Nova POV* 

I was surrounded by piles of golden dust and knocked out demigods. I was in the middle of a hurricane. Lightning flickered and flames raced through it. The ground shook and cracked. I was destroying monsters left and right. I couldn't see any of the others, I was focused solely on the monsters that were committing suicide by trying to fight me. The demigods had backed off long ago but the monsters didn't seem to get the message. "PERSEUS JACKSON!" Kronos' voice echoed across the battlefield. Immediately all fighting stopped. My hurricane disappeared and I turned around. Annabeth yelled, "Percy Jackson is dead! He died a traitor and a coward!" Kronos laughed, "Wrong on both counts daughter of Athena. He is neither dead nor a coward. Perseus Jackson resides in the ranks of the Chaos army." I marched towards Kronos, pushing Annabeth out of the way. "What do you want with him?!" "Oh just to tell him that I have his girlfriend." He snapped his fingers and Bianca appeared at his side, immobilized. I growled and started towards him. "Let her go. Percy is dead. If you want him go to Elysium, he died a hero after serving Chaos faithfully for many years." Kronos laughed again, "I know you're lying little commander. But no matter, if Perseus won't show himself I'll kill Angel. Unless of course, you were willing to accompany me to my base?" "Let her go. Swear on the Styx that if I go with you you'll let her go and remove your army from Camp Half Blood immediately." "I swear to your terms." He snapped his fingers and Bianca collapsed, gasping for breath. I pulled her to her feet and hugged her. "I love you Bia." I pulled away and walked towards Kronos. "NO! Nova come back! Don't do this!" I reached Kronos and turned back around. "I'm sorry Angel. I have to, I can't let him hurt you. Goodbye." Then Kronos placed his hand on my shoulder and flashed us away.

A/N: Okay I lied, there's one more chapter after this. Sorry. It just didn't feel right to end it here.

Do any of you have any ideas for the title of the sequel? I can't think of any good ones.
