"Come here you..." said Lucas in his deep soothing voice, lacing his slender-long fingers with hers. Electricity shot through her body at that gentle touch. With eyes locked on hers, he leaned even closer. His expression asked the silent question. She drew a ragged breath and with her heart pounding erratically in her ribcage, she leaned inwards and parted her lips. Time stopped the moment she felt him washing over like the wave of warmth, curling her toes, unfurling all her senses. Silenced all her thoughts.
His kiss was as soft as she remembered, though it felt somewhat tender and intimate than their first kiss. He tasted like a combination mix-berry yogurt and strawberry mont blanc from earlier, sugary and sweet. She could get addicted to this. Addicted to his kiss. His taste. His scent. To him.
A few blissful seconds later, they were both gasping for air but neither pulled away, too scared to break this moment. Breath coming out in pants as they placed their forehead together.
"Hey, wanna go and see a sunrise tomorrow?" Lucas murmured hotly against her lips, breaking the silence that engulfed them.
"Huh...?" She looked up, feeling slightly dazed, and met his warm brown eyes, gazing lovingly onto hers.
"Just us..." He added again and purposely brushed his lips against her rosy cheek. She let out a shaky breath, knotted her fists, tugging hard onto his shirt when his arms tightening around her waist, trying to stay sane as pulse-racing chaotically underneath his touch.
"Why are you so tense?" She could hear him grinning between those words. She refused to look at him.
"I don't know what are you─" Her breath hitched when he interrupted her obvious lies with a soft peck on the lips. "Xuxi..." She groaned as the blood rushed back to her head, reddening her cheeks, sending current through her body.
"God, why are you so adorable?" He muttered, squeezing her small figure in his warm embrace. "I want to kidnap you..." He mumbled again, lips barely brushed the shell of her ear.
She let out a soft chuckled at that absurd remark then rested her head against his broad chest and pleased to find out that his heart pounding in rhythm with hers, mirroring hers. It felt nice knowing that she could affect him the same way he affected her.
Just as she savoring the happiness that flooding through her, Lucas abruptly pulled away and with a rather tense tone mused, "Let's go back..." She shot him a questioning look. He jerked his head toward the group of boys who just walked into the scene, invading their secluded corner. Some of them looked quite drunk. He was right. They needed to stay away from this bunch.
"Yeah, let's go..." She muttered in a wary tone, sliding her hands into his arms. He shot her a charming smile. "What?" She raised her eyebrows at him.
"Nothing. I'm just happy..." He responded as they strolled hand in hand toward the festive pool party where they left Mark and Mina without a word.
"Maybe we should go back to your room..." He muttered out of the blue as they walked past the archway bushes that separated the pool and the secluded garden with a white tall gazebo.
"What about Mark?"
"What about him?"
"We can't just ditch him like that. He could be looking for us..."
"Nah, he won't..." He shook his head. "He got Mina with him. Believe me, he would prefer us gone for the rest of the night..." He continued again. She snickered at his playful remarks.
"But still..."
"Besides, Mark knew that I'm madly in love with you, so he'll understand..." he added again in a nonchalant tone before casually pressing his lips against her forehead.
