❄Aaron's POV❄️

After dinner is over, Percy and I walk over to the tree line of the forest.

"Okay Aaron, we are going to play Capture the Flag, you are going to need armor, a helmet, and a weapon. Oh dang it! I forgot to get them! Agh!! Just- wait here," Percy runs the way we came from and disappears around the corner.

Confused, I sit on the ground and lean against the trunk of the tree. After a few beats of silence, I hear rustling behind me. I quickly spring to my feet ready to attack the intruder.

Right as I am about to pounce I see a boy with black shaggy hair, black clothing, a brown aviators jacket, and dark chocolate (almost black) eyes, stepping out of the shadows.

"Who are you?" I ask the mysterious boy in front of me. He shrikes and stares at me with wide eyes, then narrows them with annoyance.

"I think I should be asking you that," he growlers threateningly.

I rolled my eyes, "Well I asked you first," I said back, crossing my arms over my chest. The pale skinned boy growled in frustration, but then stumbles a little bit. "Are you okay?" I ask sincerely as I take a step closer to him.

He holds up a hand, "Don't touch me," is all he says before he disappears back in to the shadows.

I blink my eyes trying to process what just happened.

"Okay I got you your armor, helmet and sword if that is okay with you," I turn around to see Percy struggling to hold both our armor and my sword and helmet, he is wearing his helmet, but it is covering his eyes.

I laugh at Percy, "Oh stop laughing and help me!" I walk over to him and grab the smaller armor, put it on, grab the helmet (the one not on Percy's head) and the sword.

"Thanks," I say as I put on my helmet. As I pick up the sword from the ground, I roll it in my hand.

I must have been making a face because Percy started to laugh, "Something wrong Aaron?"

I look up at him, "It feels weird."

"The sword?" I nod, "Well once we win Capture the Flag we will get a weapon you choose from the shed."

"You're confident you are gonna win huh?" I place a hand on my hip. Percy rolls his eyes and grabs my wrist dragging me, probably, to where the game is.

💦Percy's POV💦

The teams are Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Hephestus, Demeter, and Dionysus cabins are the red team. And Zeus, Poseidon, Hades (if he shows up), Athena, Hermes, and Hestia cabins are the blue team. GO TEAM BLUE!!!

Sorry, ADHD.

Anyways after we got our teams together, Aaron and I take border patrol near the river. Well I'm in the river and Aaron is on the land.

After a few minutes of getting settled, the horn blew signaling the game has started.

"Are you excited?" I asked Aaron after a few minutes of silence.

"Yeah! But, I don't know how to use this," she holds up the sword I gave her.

"Tomorrow you can pick your own weapon, this is just so that you do get yourself killed tonight."

"Well that's reassuring," Aaron chuckles and I join in, but stop when I hear Clarrise.

"WE ARE COMIN FOR YOU SEA BASS!"

Sea bass? Really?

Clarrise and two of her siblings come running towards us. Clarrise attacks Aaron while her brothers attack me, but I easily take them down after five minutes. I turn to see Aaron being pushed up against a tree. I start to make my way over there to help her, but one other siblings gets up and starts to swing his sword at me. I easily block his blows, and I get annoyed and control the water to grab him. He struggles against it but I have a good grip on him.

"AGH!" I turn around to see Aaron holding her arm on the ground, she has a huge gash on her upper arm, and it looks deep. Clarrise is about to strike down on her again, but Aaron hits her in the legs with the flat of her sword knocking Clarrise to the ground. Aaron umps back non her feet and points the tip of her sword at Clarrise's throat.

"Looks to me like we got you," Aaron smiles. Suddenly we here the Stoll twins shouting, "WE GOT THE FLAG! WE GOT THE FLAG!"

I laugh as I see Connor and Travis holding the red flag together and skipping through the forest.

Aaron lets Clarrise off the ground and I release her siblings. Clarrise gives Aaron a glare and storms off with her brothers, and if looks could kill Aaron would be chopped up into tiny little bits.

"Great job, Aaron!" I pat her on the back. I see the big gash in her arm, "Are you okay?!"

She looks down at her arm and laughs at my sudden outburst, "I think I'll live, Fish Face," she punches me in the arm.

"Why does everyone always have to give some weird nickname?" I sigh in exaggeration.

"It's easy that's why," Aaron laughs.

"Whatever," I mumble under my breath, "Come on I have to take you to the Hermes cabin," I swing my arm around her shoulders and head off to the cabins.

❄️Aaron's POV ❄

After the game Percy took me to the Hermes cabin, it's really crowded. As I lay wide awake in my bed, I keep thinking about everything that has happened today. Especially the Hephestus cabin, ugh! I should've never ran away, but then I wouldn't have seen this camp or met Percy, he has been so nice to me. But that never lasts in my case. I shouldn't have ran away all those years ago, I wouldn't have lost my best friend, my only friend. But if I did stay would've hurt him as well as others. No matter what I try to do i always hurt someone in the end.

I'm sorry, Leo.
