Ana Fateful Day

Ana
Sometimes it doesn't pay to get out of bed and this is that day. I hear noises and a loud thud. What's wrong with this sound is that the voices don't sound familiar. I grab my gun and call our security to come find out what's going on. Apparently drama has found its way into our suite in the form of Shane Lassiter. What's going on is my dad training her in self defense tactics and the thud was her finally taking David down. I call security back just as they enter and see it was me jumping the gun yet again. Hey better safe than sorry. I definitely know the sorry part of it. I ended up in a cast because I failed to alert my security of an aggressive suitor. He broke my arm in attempts to raping me. Security prevented that part, but my arm paid the price of failing to alert them about my attackers aggressive behavior. Calvin Pruitt just nods and he and Sam Tyler go back to their positions outside the doors.
Ray
I see you are now calling security before you walk into a hornets nest. Lol. David and I are giving Shane some self defense tips. Want to watch her put your brother on his ass. Oh and guess what Shane has job openings if you are interested.

We both are, I say as I walk in after having checked out the shops in the hotel. Mom decided we needed to find some business clothing and since Ana and I are the same size I just bought two of everything. The sales lady was thrilled, she had no idea I was buying for my twin.
Ana
I am going for breakfast if anyone cares lol. I gab my gun and holster along with my purse and slip out of the suite.
Carla
We check out soon and don't forget we are looking at that land to build a place in Seattle. I want you there along with the whole family. Which apparently includes Shane now.
Shane
Oh you don't have to invite me. I can stay here.
Carla
Like hell you can, I read how and why your parents died and I don't mean the newspaper versions. Unless you want to meet their fate you are to stay with us. Right Ray?
Ray
That was the plan, I was going to discuss it all with you today. You will have three security coming to meet you today. If they like you they will take the job otherwise they won't.
Shane
I thought I chose my security, you mean they choose me?
Ray
For the best, they also have to like you well enough to want the job of putting themselves in front of a bullet for you. Those are the guys you hired last night. You need more than two and right now you have them and them only. They have everything done and your family that invaded your home were arrested. You need to change your law firm as well and have audits ran now. I know you don't know me well, but this is my job and I do it well. I really don't need to work, but doing this makes me feel good about protecting the future by helping ex military people get and keep jobs protecting others. It is a way of life for them. I make a lot and so do they.
Shane
I see your point, do you think security helped the people kill my parents?
Ray
I am looking into it, but I was already investigating it for my own piece of mind. I know you are aware that being their on,y heir puts you on the suspect list at the very top. I already ruled you out at the funeral. Did you know a hit man was pointing his weapon at you? My men were there to keep you safe. I was there as well with my family to pay respects to your mom and dad and check if you were involved. One look told me you weren't. But something stood out to me, a few of your family were sitting in the back and kept watching you and only you. I thought it was odd. Then I heard you were the only one mentioned in their wills.
Carla
Okay enough self defense let's talk about these jobs she has available.
Ray
Good luck Shane, you are going to need it. You have an hour until the three other security show up.
Carla
Okay here are my children's resumes you look them over and hire or not we are still family remember that. You have all our numbers and we will find you if we can, but rest assured if we can, we will find your parents killers. We won't allow them to kill you. But you need to tell us who you suspect and let us do the hard work or heavy lifting as it may be.
Shane
So what land are you looking at?

A property by the sound and an island, then we have three more to check out.
Shane
You can stay at my home until you find a place if you wish.
Ray
If you don't mind and it would give us the chance to check how safe the place is and upgrade it all.

I am just moving and the elevator stops after two floors. In walks a guy who looks a lot like Christian and David except older. Maybe eight years older he has two men in black with him. I chuckle quietly looking at my phone and my mothers reminder text. I look up and see the elevator has stopped and the men are waiting for me to step out. I hurry out and nearly fall when the guy catches me, the one who looks like my brothers. I thank him and hurry on my way. Omg he is well built and smells wonderful.
