(Y/N) POV:
I managed to make my way to the bar all by myself which was a relief , I was on time too. My nerves were taking over my body , I knew this wasn't a date or anything special but it's the closest thing I have had to one since the breakup with my ex-girlfriend. I looked down at my dress and smoothed out the wrinkles , I wanted to look perfect for her. I took a deep breath and made my way to the bar. I saw her sitting there on the bar stool, she has a glass on tequila in one hand and a cigarette in the other. I noticed she was wearing a different outfit than before.
Maybe she did care , maybe she wants the same thing as you.
You should those thoughts out if your head and made your way to her.

SALLYS POV:
I changed into a better fitting dress , I put on a dark red dress which had long sleeves and was off at the shoulders. I wanted to look good for (y/n). I went to the bar a little early because I had nothing better to do , after all I am stuck here. Liz walked over to me , obviously she was in an amazingly bright outfit so I couldn't miss her.

"Tequila?" Liz knew me too well.

"Yes please , and may I say your look tonight is amazing liz." I replied while rummaging through my bag , looking for the new pack of cigarettes I had. Liz placed the bottle of tequila and a glass filled with ice as I finally found the pack and lit one to calm my nerves.

"Here on your own again sally ?" Liz asked.

"Nope. I have a date." I said a little too cheerfully. Liz narrowed her eyes and frowned at me, like my mother used to do when she knew I was lying about something.

"Fineee. It's not a date , as much as I would like it to be. But I do actually have company tonight, that was true. In fact she's right over there." I pointed to (y/n) who was walking toward us. She looked beautiful, I never got to see her body before because it was hiding in the baggy clothes she had on when we met. I just stared at her while she was elegantly waking to the bar, I turned to Liz to hide the smile plastered on my face and the redness which formed on my cheeks. Liz noticed the look on my face, of course she did. Nothing gets past Liz Taylor.

"You're blushing miss.McKenna, she must be something special if she's making sally McKenna all hot and bothered just by entering the room," she examined my face , "smiling too ? Well , that's something to tick off of my bucket list."Liz started to laugh at her own statement. I just took a sip of my drink , not taking my eyes off of Liz so she would stop tormenting me.

"Oh shut up." I said ,hoping it would make her stop laughing but it only added to it. She was right. (y/n) is something special, I've known her for less than 24 hours and I'm already falling head over heels for her.

(y/n) was now sat next to me on the bar.I could feel the butterflies getting more intense by the second. She smelt like vanilla and looked like an angel. I had to quickly move my gaze away from her because she turned to face me, I think she caught me because when I finally got the courage to look back at her she had a smile plastered across her face.

"Do you want a drink?" I tried to break the silence by offering her some of my tequila but she shook her head in response.

"No thanks, I'm more of a beer girl."(y/n) said while laughing.

I gestured for Liz to come over because I saw that she was done serving the other couple sat on the other side of the bar. She made her way over to us and greeted (y/n) with a polite smile.

"Hi I'm Liz Taylor. Can I tempt you with a cocktail? Maybe two?" She said to (y/n) which made her laugh. I felt jealous of Liz, I should be the one making her laugh. After all it is my date. I felt the sudden urge to claim what was mine, I had to show Liz who was the boss and prove myself to (y/n).

"She prefers beer actually." I mentioned coldly, making sure Liz knew to back off. She just looked at me, reading my emotion on my face. She saw that I was annoyed. I could tell because her playful smile changed into a fake one. Liz focused her attention to (y/n) and waited for her response.

"I'll have a Guinness please Liz." (y/n) said politely to break the tension between us.

Liz went to get her drink and left us alone for the night , the only time she would come over was to refill our drinks or get us new ones. I felt a real connection with (y/n) , she made me feel safe whenever she was around me. We talked for the rest of the night, we talked about everything from her background to her most embarrassing childhood stories.

"So then miss.(y/l/n), are you single? Do you have a man in your life who you're not telling me about?"i was shocked I asked her that, it must of been the alcohol that gave me confidence.

"Wow sally, asking questions about my relationships already? It's only the first date." She said playfully while laughing. Her laugh was contagious, then it hit me. Date? She said date. I couldn't help but smile at the thought of being on a date with (y/n). She's probably didn't mean anything by it, I'm just getting my hopes up like I always do. She's probably straight anyway so I wouldn't even stand a chance with her.

"I'm just kidding,"(y/n) put her hand on my arm and squeeze it gently to comfort me, "I don't actually, I just got out of a relationship recently.I walked in to our house one day and went to the bedroom because I had to get ready for work, then I opened the door to see another woman our bed. That's why I'm here in LA. Hoping for a clean slate to start fresh on."

She moved her hand off my arm and I felt cold, I missed her touch already.

"Shit. My bad (y/n) , i didn't mean to bring the memories back. I'm sorry." I said , trying to swallow the lump I felt in my throat. I felt bad for her, I could see she was upset and it was my fault.

"Sally it's okay, it's not your fault I promise. I wouldn't of told you if I didn't want to remember it but I wanted to open up to you. I feel safe with you sally and I mean that." She managed to let a small smile out but it soon faded and her face turned to an emotionless canvas . I grabbed her hand to let her know that I was here for her, my thumb moving back and forth on the back of her hand. Her eyes met mine second after.I would of looked away by now, not wanting her to see me staring at her and get uncomfortable.but I got lost in her (y/e/c) eyes, they were so beautiful. So perfect.

"Well he must of been an idiot because he doesn't know what he lost." I said which made her giggle a little.

"She, actually." She said as her giggle turned into a laugh.

I tried not to show the glee I felt inside. Her ex was a woman! Maybe I stood a chance after all. My heart was beating fast because (y/n) put her free hand on the side of my face and pulled me closer to her.
