"WE are not handing him over," Artemis said, for what seemed like the thousandth time, while they headed back to the ship.

"I don't have a choice," Din sighed and Artemis knew he was getting more frustrated every time she told him that. She also knew he wasn't frustrated at her, but more at the conflict he was feeling inside.

"You always have a choice," Artemis pointed out. "Come on, Din. He's like me."

"Force-sensitive you mean?"

"Yes," Artemis said, hoping he'd finally understand. "Exactly and would you turn me in?"

Din sighed. "You know I'd never do that."

"So why the kid, Din?"

Din turned around and continued to walk, ignoring her question. Artemis sighed and stalked after him. However, she got the feeling they were being watched.

"Mando," she quietly said, but loud enough so he could hear her.

He had heard the change in her voice and he slowed his pace, letting her catch up with him.

"What is it?" he quietly asked, as his hand glided towards his blaster.

"We're being followed."

Just then, they were ambushed by several Trandoshans who were wielding vibro-axes. Artemis ducked as she pulled out her blaster. She shot down the Trandoshan that was making his way towards her, before turning to see how Din was doing.

As usual, he was doing pretty good.

Artemis' eyes averted towards the kid and saw a Thrandoshan making his way over towards him. She quickly shot him down and hurried over towards the kid to see if he was doing all right.

"You okay, little one?" she asked, going with her fingers over his head.

The kid send her a feeling of affirmation and Artemis smiled down at him. She then looked around to see if Din was nearly finished. He was.

Din knelt down and picked up a tracking fob. "They were here for the kid."

"Are you all right?" Artemis asked, noticing a wound on his left arm.

"I'm fine," Din assured her. "How are you? How's the kid?"

"We're okay," Artemis replied. "Can I have a look at that wound?"

"No," he huffed. "Come, I want to get back to the ship as soon as possible."

Without saying anything else, he turned around. Artemis sighed and looked at the child who was already watching her.
