Legolas POV:
It has been 29 almost 30 years since I last saw Aragorn. There have been no letters telling me anything and I am starting to get worried. I am pacing my room when there is a knock on the door. I opened it to find a messenger.
"King Thranduil requests you in the throne room, says to be packed for a trip." Then he leaves. I am left to puzzle in silence but do as he says. As I make my way up to the throne room I can see my father on the elaborate throne.
" you wished to see me?"
"Yes, I have noticed that you don't seem happy here. The last time I have seen you happy was when you came home from Rivendell. I have asked Lord Elrond if you may stay with them for a while and he said yes. You must leave now seeing as they expect you as soon as possible" I turn and leave the throne room my mind full of questions, but the one thought that keeps surfacing to the top is I'll finally be able to see Aragorn again. I mount my horse and ride off, eager to get there.

Legolas POV:
As I arrive at Rivendell just as the sun is setting, a young elf maybe only about 1000 years old comes up to me and leads me to my room. After I put everything in my room I go and try to find Aragorn.
I eventually find him talking to another elf. I walk up to say hi but momentarily stop. He had Arwen's arm linked through his and she is staring at him affectionately. But I keep walking. As I approach I see Aragorn turn to look at me. He is just as handsome as he was the day he left. His hair the same, his eyes the same, just as I remember him. I am so lost in thought that I don't even realize his arms are around me until he is holding me tight. I hug him back before pulling away and feel the elf staring at us.
"how long have you been here?" He asks
"I just arrived."
"Have you been shown to your room?"
"Yes," I say. He turns back to Arwen. She links her arm through his and says,
"Dinner will be in an hour, you may do whatever you please before then."
"I will go for a walk, I would like to look around," I say, looking over at Aragorn, sure he will want to come with me but he doesn't respond. I turn to walk away and I can feel Arwen staring at my back.

Legolas POV:
I am walking back towards Rivendell when I see two figures in a clearing. I notice it is Aragorn and Arwen so I start to turn away but can't help but watch as she slowly brings her lips to his. I stare dumbfounded as they kiss for what seems like forever before I pull my gaze away and run back to my room, my eyes streaming.

Aragorn POV:
When I don't see Legolas at dinner I am worried. I ask Lord Elrond if he has seen Legolas anywhere. All he tells me is that he saw Legolas run to his room crying. I quickly As I approach his room I can hear sobbing coming through the door. I stand outside the door listening for a second before I dare to knock.
"Legolas it's me Aragorn, may I come in?" When he doesn't answer I slowly open the door to find him sitting on the bed, back turned away from me. I walk over and sit down beside him, but when I put my hand on his shoulder he shrugs it off.
"What's wrong my love?" I say, my voice full of concern. At this he whips around to face me, his eyes are red and tears are racing down his cheeks. For the first time, his hair is slightly messy.
"How can you say that to me?! How can you go 59 years without saying one word to me and then the first one you say is my love?!" A new round of tears starts flowing from his eyes and I realize how much I have hurt him. "How can you say that especially after you have just been kissing Arwen? I thought you didn't love her like that!" That is why he is so upset. I quickly realize my mistake and tell him the truth.
"I don't love her like that but she doesn't know. I am pretending to, so she doesn't fade away. Lord Elrond would be furious if he knew. She gave away her immortality for me. I just don't know what to do. She was the one who pulled me in for the kiss. I don't love anyone but you."
"Then why didn't you write? Why didn't you send something, anything, telling me that you were all right? I was as worried." I looked at his tear-stained face, heartbroken to see him in so much pain.
"I didn't know what to write. I didn't know how to write to you. But I wanted to. I did." I pulled him onto my lap and held him tight. By now my eyes were streaming and I could hear his ragged breathing. "But will you forgive me. Give me one last chance?"
Then he took his head off my shoulder and pressed his lips to mine and put his arms around my neck. Oh, how I had missed this feeling and I moved my hands to his waist kissing him back. Felling the happiest I have been in a long time.
