YOU and cedric never really dated but you did get close to doing so until he realized how every time a guy would try talking to you, jealousy would take over and he'd end up being controlling. in realizing this, he made the choice to let you go. not because he wanted to, but because he didn't want you to be treated that way.
of course, it would make sense to just work on his jealousy but when it came to you, he couldn't help it. even when you stopped talking, he found himself wishing he could get rid of any guy that spoke to you.
