YOU and cedric broke up last year and recently you've started talking to harry.
cedric still had feelings for you but ignored them in order to move on. however, when he started to notice the hand-holding, the giggling, and the cheek kisses between you and harry, he felt like his heart had shattered all over again.
all these months of ignoring his feelings were for nothing because, truly, he was never over you.
standing a distance away, he watched as you lifted yourself up onto your tippy toes to give harry a goodbye kiss on the cheek before skipping to class.
once you were out of sight, cedric walked up to harry.
"h-how is she?" he asked him. "y/n. is she doing okay?"
"she's great" harry smiled. "she's amazing really."
"good, thank you," cedric told him, smiling quickly before walking away. he felt better knowing she was happy, even if he wasn't the reason anymore.
