"are you sure?" beomgyu's mom asked him one time when she, his dad and beomgyu sat down in the living room.

beomgyu nodded, his eyes fixed on his fiddling fingers, "i'm sure, mom. how much more times do i have to tell you?"

"it's just-" mrs choi looked over at her husband and he sighed, nodding.

"beomgyu." beomgyu's dad started. beomgyu looked up at his father and saw his eyes: pity. it's always pity. "moving to florida is a big move. i know i have to go there because of work, but you and your mother don't have to. plus, you'll have to leave your friends. are you sure-"

"i don't have friends anymore!" beomgyu yelled. "and i don't have a boyfriend anymore either. no! don't come here and pity me! just- i just want to start a new life over there, okay?"

beomgyu looked up at his parents and there were tears in his eyes. beomgyu refused to let them fall, so he didn't dare to blink. not even once. he will not cry in front of these adults. he will not

mr choi sighed, "fine. i'll add two more seats to my flight tickets. we're flying in two days." with that, he left the living room and to his office. when mrs choi was starting to leave, she tried to put her hand on beomgyu's shoulder, but her son glared at her.

"don't. pity. me. please." he muttered. beomgyu's mom sighed and nodded, "okay. but you know where to find us."

she left the living room as well, leaving beomgyu in the living room by himself. only then did he allow the tears to fall. he collapsed onto the sofa and sobbed. he knew he lost all his friends and taehyun for a few months, but it hurts so much more when he admitted it. it hurts so much. why does it hurts so much still? it's been three months.

maybe because you knew you were the one that ruined everything, a little voice inside his head said.

"shut up." beomgyu muttered. "shut up, shut up, shut up!"

it's just going to get worst if he stayed here. he knew it. the memories would haunt him like no other memories. all the memories of taehyun and him loving; all the memories of taehyun and him laughing; all the memories of taehyun and him living like there's no tomorrow. it'll all hurt way too much.

i need to leave. i know i need to. i'm so sorry, taehyun.

the day finally came when beomgyu had to leave seoul and to florida. he packed everything he needed and managed to have some time spared before he had to board the plane. his parents allowed him to walk around the airport. and so beomgyu took something out of his backpack and ran around the airport.

he ran and ran, still not finding what he intended to find. he then ran into an airport staff and asked her about it. she pointed some fingers, but when beomgyu ran there, it was still nowhere to be found.

"fuck! why doesn't the airport have a goddamn mail box!" beomgyu gripped his hair in frustration. he turned around and widened his eyes, "whoops."

beomgyu went there and as he panted, he smiled. he finally found it. he looked at the envelope in his hand and sighed. "goodbye, taehyun."

he inserted the envelope into the mail box and sprinted back to his parents when he heard the airport announcement that his flight had started to board.
