We walk on for some time, following a downtrodden trail. I take furtive glances at Wilson. He wears his normal attire, a style he has never changed; a white button-up with rolled up sleeves, a red striped vest, black slacks, and dark shoes. He had a spear hilted to his backpack. This mildly alarms me- something out there must be dangerous enough to warrant him to carry a weapon.

As for me, I am wearing the maroon vest Wilson gave me (although I can not tell what material it is made of, strangely). Under the vest I have on a simple white v-neck tee shirt, a veteran to my wardrobe. I have on a loosely pleated skirt, light pink.

I never could understand why some men viewed me as pretty; I have white-blonde hair that is very fluffy, slightly curly, and stops at shoulder-level. My eyes are a placid grey, and I wear big gold wire glasses. I am quite short, only about five feet. I am moderately tan from hours spent outside in the sun. But I don't see anything enticing about my appearance.

Although William is my twin, he and I do not look very similar. Our facial structures are alike, but everything else is deeply contrasted; he has dark hair, brown eyes, pale skin, and is very tall.

"We're almost there," Wilson pulls me out of my introspection.

"What exactly do you plan on showing me, Wilson Percival?"

"That's for me to know, and you to discover yourself. You'll either love it or be painfully offended by it. I don't know if it adheres to science, but, my, it's so alluring."

"Alluring?"

He grins. "Curious yet?"

"And confused, yes."

"Well take your eyes off of me and look ahead. There it is."

Oh my. It is a plant of sorts. The main body of it is bulb-shaped, leafy, and a deep purple color. Roots protrude out of the bottom of it into the soil. There are little plant-minions surrounding it, with eyes sprouting from the leaves, as if they were simply heads of cabbage.

Suddenly, the leafy folds of the plant open up a bit and a tendril slowly rises, with an odd morsel of green... food attached to it. I smell a slight scent coming from it. As odd as it may sound, it is a bit alluring.

"Oh my Lord!" I exclaim. "This is- what is this!?"

"I call it a Lureplant. You'll never guess what it's holding."

"No, I don't think I could." I step forward and one of the eyeplants opens into a mouth! It is about to bite and tear into my leg when Wilson exclaims and pulls me back.

"Careful, Willamette. They bite."

"They- they bite? Oh wow. They're an eye. And teeth."

He takes out his spear and quickly goes around slashing each of the eyeplants, which wither away. He goes forward to the bulb of the plant and jabs the spear in it repeatedly as it convulses, seemingly feeling the pain.

It quickly shrivels and wilts away, the contents of its insides revealed. Wilson picks these items up; a little purple bulb and the odd bit the plant had been holding.

"This is the Meat Bulb, the little seed of the plant," Wilson informs me, holding up the bulb. "And this is Leafy Meat."

"What?"

"It's like a crossbreed of meat and vegetable."

His analysis is correct. It's a drumstick, with a purple-and-green color scheme similar to the mother plant. The light green center of it is filled with enlarged cells.
