So, as it turns out y'all one of my surprises for the break can't happen 'cause my mom yoinked my video game permissions for the break. I know. I suck ass. I'm working on planning out an original story so I kinda just completely pretended this doesn't exist while doing that. Uhhh... I'm debating between discontinuing this fanfiction or simply finishing it already. A lot of you guys stuck through with this since the very first version of this book and to those of you who did, I love y'all so much. Newer readers, I'm glad you're here too because even though you haven't stuck around quite as long and have seen how new theories and lore changed the story over time, you can get a good idea of what lore I could manage to stuff into this book.
I'm incredibly proud and ashamed of this book all at once. Of course, anyone would be ashamed of writing fanfiction if they touch grass (lol), but I'm also proud because when I go back to read some of this at times I recognize lines from songs or UCN that I threw in here or I see how I tried to stick with the lore and I get excited. FNaF VR changed the lore of FNaF so much and made how we see FNaF 1 and every other FNaF game too so different from how we first started.
FNaF has really become one of those series that grew with the fanbase, I mean a lot of us were like little kids watching Markiplier play the games all those years ago and look at us now. Not to ride the train of YouTubers leaving us after leaving such an indelible mark on our lives, but we really are old now and that fact is insane to try and come to terms with. I'm telling you I fucking sobbed my eyes out when MatPat announced that he's quitting YT.
In any case, things are changing and I'm a bit of a cranky old person on the inside, so I don't think I will be discontinuing this book, it'll just be on the worst update schedule to ever exist until I get my shit together. I mean I have like a week before the new semester, I'm still unemployed, so I need to start getting a schedule together. At best, I think I may be able to start updating again once a month. At worst it could be a long while, but seeing as there's a good handful of you that stuck with me since I first started this fanfict (which was like middle school god damn guys, we're so old), I'm sure you guys can cope with it.
Thanks again y'all so very much for reading, I never found my writing to be entertaining enough to do this well, but you guys have made me feel a bit more confident in myself and I hope that one day you guys will be able to read my shitty original story instead of my shitty fanfiction. <33
