My Princess

Y/N's P.O.V.

I stare at the letter in disbelief, the day shift? I don't want to work the day shift, I'd rather work the night shift, it may drain my sleep, but... I guess having friends make me feel a lot happier than I do without and somehow... It feels like they're trying to abandon me.

Like my parents.

I tighten my grip on the letter, some part of me wants to believe that it is because someone else applied for the night shift, but I know that the animatronics must've convinced the boss somehow. They're trying to abandon me... They don't want to hang around me anymore... What did I do wrong? I crumble up the paper and throw it at the wall.

The day shift... As if... I stare at the wall blankly. What did I do wrong? Did Foxy tell them I'm a murderer? That's the only thing I can think of... Foxy told them that I'm a murderer. He... betrayed me. I trusted him to keep our deals and yet... I take a deep breath, at this point, it doesn't hurt anymore. I just keep letting people down and so they betray me.

There's a gentle knock on the door, but I don't respond.

I was starting to get comfortable around the animatronics, I could even say I was beginning to trust them. At this point, the only people I can trust are Isamu and the Serranos, everyone else has betrayed me.

The door swings open and Landon's there. Usually, I'd get excited whenever he'd visit me because he'd tell me that we're going to see Greyson and I love seeing how cute the two of them are together. Landon's eyes rest on me and he immediately starts asking questions, but I can't hear him, there's the chuckling of that damned shadow again, poking fun at me for placing my trust in Foxy. I hug my legs tight to my chest and close my eyes tightly as hot tears begin to stream down my face.

I hate this part, I hate it so much, when all I can do is beg and cry for the voices to go away when I know what's going on around me but I can't hear it, I can't even hear my own voice screaming for it to stop.

Time Skip~

"Are you okay, princess?" Isamu's gentle voice calls to me worriedly.

"I-Isa?" I sit up quickly.

Isamu's sitting in a chair beside my bed, his brown eyes scan over my body worriedly. I lean over towards Isamu a little but feel something on my leg. I look down to see Bastille fast asleep my legs, I smile lightly then sigh.

"Yeah, I'm fine, Isa." I reach out and pat Isamu's head.

"What happened, princess?" Isamu takes my hand and kisses my palm.

I stare at him as he gently kisses up to my fingertips and backs down to my palm until he's thoroughly kissed all my fingers. Isamu looks up at me innocently when he notices I haven't responded to his question.

"Uh- Well... I..." I try to withdraw my hand.

"Princess? Am I making you nervous?" Isamu continues to look at me innocently while holding my wrist ever so gently.

"Isa... N-No!" I pull my hand away quickly. "I-I just... Was... Surprised..."

Isamu bursts out laughing before gently pecking me on the forehead.

Isamu's P.O.V.

"You're so cute..." I murmur lightly.

I move to sit on the edge of the bed, taking her hand in mine once again, this time entwining our fingers.

"So, princess... What happened?" I gently stroke her hand with my thumb.

"Uh..." Y/N looks down at the floor.

I follow her gaze to see a particular sheet of paper crumpled up on the floor. I get up and pick up the paper, carefully opening up the paper, I scan over the words carefully then look back at Y/N... Did she get upset over this? Because she's being moved to the day shift? Or... I sigh, of course...

"Y/N, they're not abandoning you, you know." I smile lightly and put down the paper. "It's just that someone else applied for the night shift."

"Well, whoever applied has to deal with me, because I am not moving to the day shift." Y/N growls. "If I do, then I'll never get the chance to talk to the animatronics again and... I don't exactly have friends at school."

I sigh, grabbing my glass of wine from the bedside table and taking a long sip from it. In that case, there isn't much that can be done, if Y/N makes really good friends with someone, then that's it, she's stuck to you like glue. It's one of her most childish traits for sure, but I love it. I place down my cup slowly, then sit back down on the edge of the bed.

"You do realize that you can always make friends, right?" I gently brush some of her behind her ear.

"Isa, I don't want other friends, the animatronics..." Y/N furrows her brows. "They're unlike anyone I've ever met before and I can't think of replacing them with anyone at all."

My eyes soften. "Alright... As you wish, princess."

Time Skip~

"I'm sorry, I can't keep her on the night shift no matter how much you pay me." The man pushes the case back to me.

"Why not?" I growl.

"Isamu, you do understand what the animatronics are, right?" He stands and gently rests a hand on my shoulder. "They're no longer just entertainment for five-year-olds, they're deadly murder machines and they're very selective with who they won't murder. You're lucky enough that the animatronics took a liking to your princess. Honestly, moving her to the day shift is the most unlikely request from the animatronics I've ever had and they've asked me to dispose of bodies for them."

The man squeezes my shoulder lightly. "Moving her to the day shift is in fact really good for her safety. You see, we've had a... Mishap. There's a man who attempted to break in yesterday we didn't get to question him, but he tried breaking in during the night while you were with your princess. Whoever it was planned for the whole thing really well, he even knew that your princess wasn't here. We didn't get to catch him, we lost him on the highway, but...

"There's a good possibility he'll come back. And besides that, those animatronics..." He draw his thumb across my throat. "Has killed many and plenty of people, so naturally, getting a request from such monsters one would be scared for his life. So, no amount of money can stop me, Isamu."

He walks past me and sits back down, his dark brown eyes meeting mine from across the table. I sigh, he's scared for his life? He's at least twice Y/n and I's age and he's scared for his life?

"Coward." I hiss.

"What?" He slams a hand on the table.

"Y/n got this job and even after finding out how many the animatronics have killed she befriended them." I stand. "And honestly, it doesn't matter how much money I give you, Y/n is stubborn enough to come back with or without me asking politely first."

I smile lightly. "Heck, if that guy comes back, I can guarantee you she'll deliver his dead body to you. However, I can try my best to abide by your wishes, after all, I do fear for my princess at times..."

I put a hand on the doorknob. "Besides, my princess... Dating someone like her will never make you more happy and afraid all at once."

I leave the building. It is true, finally dating Y/N has made me so overly happy my face hurts from grinning too much sometimes, but I'm always scared for her, especially when she faints from stress like that. Suddenly, I bump into someone.

I look at him over my shoulder, it's too dark for me to tell, but he seems to be dressed in purple and he carries an animatronic head under his arm, it's a bright golden yellow and in his other hand is a hatchet resting on his shoulder.

"Sorry, didn't mean to bump into ya." The man murmurs in a low voice.

"It's fine." I'm about to keep walking, but then he says something else.

Something chilling.

"I'd keep your princess far away from here for the day, if she gets in my way, there's no promise that she'll live."
