Damein's POV

==================================

The past two weeks have been great. Haven has slowly been opening up to me more and more. She hasn't had as many panic attacks as the first week and she's just been a delight! We still have our...scuffles.. But what healthy work-in-progress mate relationship doesn't?

I learnt as much as I could on what Haven could be. Though the info wasn't much, it was something to go off by. It was possible she was a Hallowed. They were wolves with extraordinary powers. Almost like witches. Except they can only master or be one element or ability. Most of them died off due to Alpha wolves who either caught them for their magic to produce offspring and use them as weapons...or to destroy the magic before it became a threat.

They were meant as blessings from the moon so they could guide the weaker along and protect them. Some did go rogue, but they were dealt with. Even so... Since not many lived, especially now and days, and most of the books was burned long ago. There isn't much else to say.

On other news...it was time. The night of the Full Moon. It was that time again I would go into heat. A lust crazed frenzy, searching for my mate, or clawing at anyone to get to her. Since she was finally here. It was gonna be a lot harder to remain away and hidden. Speaking of which...

Haven was walking right on by me, she had a book in her hands and a look of enjoyment on her face. Her long red brown hair cascaded down her back, only bringing my attention to her curves. She has been eating a lot more of late, so she looked much healthier then she did a month ago.

The way she walked made me bite my lower lip. Just the way her hips swayed was enough to make me want to take her to my room. She noticed me and I quickly fixed my demeanor.

"Oh, hi Damein!" She smiled bright, almost like the sun itself, she was what I orbited all the time.

"Hey Kitten, whatcha reading?" I casually asked, shoving my hands in my pockets as I walk over, looking down at her book.

"Hm? Oh, it's just a book about two star crossed lovers."

I snicker then wiggle my eyebrows.

"So us?~"

"You wish, Romeo." She playfully teased, "but no. Its not even about werewolves. Its about a human named Sarah and a fae named Jerith."
(For those who know where those names are from, I love you.)

I raised an eyebrow but chuckled and took her book. Book-marking it and closing it.

"Heyyyy, I was reading that!" She pouted and I just laughed.

"Yeah well, I was wondering if you wanted to go on a run? Wolf forms of course. I know its been a while."

Her eyes seemed to sparkle at the thought. She looked excited as she nodded her head.

My eyes glittered with pride at the sight of my Haven just being happy. This is all I really wanted for since I met her. Though I wish she was a little more less resistant to my advances, I know that maybe eventually, we can beat roommates and I can truly be with her.

We walk to the back door side by side until we hit the door. I open the door and let her go first, being the gentleman I was. She just chuckled but nodded her head and went out. I soon followed after and we were in the garden that my mother had planted. With a bit of walking through the garden we soon made it to the long stretch of woods connected to it.

" I'll turn around and close my eyes so you can change out of your clothes." I said whilst doing the actions I said I would do.

I still had to be respectful of what she was and what she wanted me to do. That includes not gazing upon my mate's Beauty, as much as I wish I could.
