(Richie's POV)

The words of the songs running through my head... if I lay here, if I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world.

Life is to short to care about dumb shit. I love him and I need him to know. The meteor shower is tonight so I grabbed the extra pillows and blankets from the closet and brought them outside, laying them on the trampoline and put the netting around the whole thing including the top so the bugs wouldn't get in.

I started to text eddie...

Rich: hey Eds can you come over?

Eds: yeah I'll be there in a minute or too

Rich: make sure you are in your pjs and you have any night essentials cuz your sleeping over

Eds: uh ok

This was it! The moment!

*time skip to Eddie's arrival*

Eddie showed up in the cutest pjs ever! They had little sleeping teddy bears on them and it was a matching set with bear slippers too!

"Hi Rich." He said walking into the living room.

"Hey come with me." I said.

"If I want to live?" He quoted questioningly.

"No time for Arnold Schwarzenegger."

"Oh well then this must be serious." He replied.

I led him to the backyard and he shrieked.

"Richie! I am not stepping outside mkay? Because that is disgusting while I'm in my pajamas! They are brand new and I can not get them dir-" I cut his rent off by scooping him up bridal style onto the trampoline.

"What's this?" He asked.

"Meteor shower tonight." I said.

"Aww that's cute." We both blushed.

I laid on my back and watched the stars. But I could feel his eyes on me.

"Why don't you take a picture it will last longer." I laughed.

He scoffed and blushed fixing gaze on the stars. I then started looking at him.

"Why don't you take a picture it will last longer." He said mockingly and then laughed. I laughed with him.

My hand slowly crept to his but I didn't want to be obvious. Then I felt his hand brush mine and then he grabbed it and locked it into his embrace.

We both turned and looked at each other sweetly. We both moved closer to each other until both our lips were locking together in a perfect way.

After we pulled apart I pulled him into my embrace and let him snuggle into my chest. I rubbed his back comfortingly and with my free hand in was holding his. All I had to do was gaze into his star like eyes and I knew I was home.
