The city was much majestic than I ever thought. My brother used to read books about this old-forgotten city. That stood above my dreams and utter beauty made me smile with appreciation.
General Attius jerks the horse forward and we rode through the opening of the gate. The smell of the ocean's intoxicated air made the aura of the Kingdom more appealing. We stopped at the steps of the palace and Attius jumps off and assists me in the most calming manner. He smiles at me and pats down my clock from the residue from the waterfall.
"Ella, escort the princess to her chambers, will you," a young slender mocha-skinned girl appears in front of me. Her hair was immaculately placed high-top bun with a simple pin. The palace's aesthetic mesmerized me beyond my senses, its underwater presence was very evident in the architecture. Ella escorted me to my chambers and it was the most beautiful room I have ever seen in my life as a princess. Beautifully furnished furniture and exquisite bedding, I could fall in love with this place.
Suddenly a soldier bursts in, "The King request, you." I turned around, "I will see him at a moment's notice, let me unpack my belongs."
"Sorry, your highness, the King did not request you but Ella," the soldier says and looks at Ella, who seems embarrassed on my behalf.
"I'll be there soon, Mark," Ella folded my clothing in complete silence as I returned to the unpacking of my medical belongs. Ella left soon later with a smile and usual bell me if you need my service. I felt so humiliated, I really thought the King himself wanted me, this outwardly disgusted me. I could never face that soldier again, I will bury myself in my own shame and die a virgin.
A knock at the door, startled me, bring me back to reality. "Princess are you alive."
Opening the door, stood Attitus he's out of his uniform, a small part of his sun-kissed chest exposed. A necklace of a seashell pendant was on full display. I smiled and welcomed him in.
"I want to show you my favorite place of the Kingdom, like a welcome present." He guided me outside and I stepped into the glowing sun. He handed me two fishing rods and a bucket of bait.
"Don't tell me, we getting my dinner for tonight," I sarcastic laughed but Atticus nodded and brought my horse from the shed.
"Don't be so worried princess, I promise you to love it," Attius grabs me and pulls me on my horse. He takes the rods and puts them on the side of his horse.
We rode slowly behind trees and continuous grooves was a hidden lake so majestic. Atticus jumps off his horse, walks over to my awe-shocked body, he wraps his arm over my hip. Letting me down, touching the sole of my feet was soft greeny grass that felt like heaven.
"It's beautiful, princess, a place of wonders," as Atticus said that the Sun shone over the water, reflecting his skin, shimmering like a thousand stars. He was majestic, he was alluring and he bewitching.
