General Atticus arm was firm and tense. He was much taller than me, making my arm seem lopsided.Father's eyes widen as he's gaze drops to my shoulders, where my hair used to past.
I felt a sudden wave of silence as I took my seat in the great hall. The General departs from my side, bowing before retreating to his King's side.Raymond leaps up and gently pulls a chair for me to sit. In the corner of my eyes, I see a smirk develop on Allison's soft lips.
My brother leans and whispers, "As always, different." I roll my eyes at his comment before seating. My eyes are trained on the drinks before me, not allowing them to wander to the King of Atlantis.
"Resuming my discussion, I like to appeal to my daughter's request for the medical campaign, that we discuss several winters ago,"
"The medical campaign," a rugged voice replies. Finally, allowing myself to look down the table, I see him.
His long luscious hair is magnificent as always, but he's body seems to be more rigid and tense. I always thought of his physique to well above any soldiers we had here. His armour is different, very different, it is not the one I saw beforehand.
"Princess Drucilla," he says my name, dark and smooth. He's amber lit eyes meet mines and I felt the earth swallowing me.
"It's been several winters, how have you been?" he questions politely. Making myself cringe with the knowledge of his maturity. I knew I sense something contrasting of his personality before, he has a sense of maturity flowing out of his body.
Raymond nudges me, bringing me back to reality. Flustered, I gathered myself and spoke.
"I have been well but also I have planned fervently over the winters of how I will conduct the medical campaign."
"I'm looking forward to your research, princess," as those words seeped out of his mouth, I felt my body heat up.
"Me too, I am very fond of the thought of our countries uniting for the better of our nation's future," I said with a light blush playing my cheeks. I hate that I was reacting badly to this man's words.
"Then, your Father, wouldn't mind for you visiting my country in the following month," he said, eyeing my father. I couldn't take myself away from his eyes when he said, father, like a proposal for marriage.
"I will keep my promise to my daughter and allow the visitation to Atlantis this following month," Father announces, lifting his drink to honour the King of Atlantis.
Mumbles of approval and caution filled the hall as the elders discuss with each other.
