Chapter 3
"Excuse me?" I try to seem to decipher her words.
"You know what I mean?" slyly smirked my cousin.
"You still are female," she nudged me.
"I didn't know my sex, define my taste in man," I whispered with an eye roll.
"Whatever, Dru," she huffed before shuffling her chair near me.
Father introduced several topics of discussion which were, trades in minerals, livestock and other produce, he slowly pulled into the financial status and aids to lower colonies.
Nothing interested me, financial status and aid to the former colonies did pique my interest but the rest was boring as watching paint dry.
One of the elders from my kingdom continued talking about other aspects of colonies from Atlantis and how poorly managed there were, with money, education and healthcare.
I assume the right-hand man of the King stood up. "Excuse me, elder but colonies are fed and provided with their necessities from their country."
"Only thing you providing is egotistical soldiers," I muttered under my breath.
Unfortunately, my sentence didn't go unheard because the prince's eyes seem to fall unto my body without my notice.
With a slight nudge from my somewhat supportive cousin, Allison, I finally realise the predicament I put myself in.
I gather up my courage and dealt with the matter ahead, least what a princess would do?
"What, I'm proposing and somewhat supporting what the elder said is that I see and hear of reports of lack education, healthcare and sanitation in the colonies of Atlantis, I mean those of the rural areas of course," I explained, still feeling his dark golden eyes on me.
"So you somewhat proposing that my kingdom does not take great care of its people," Prince Adam sharply replied as he angled his head towards me more.
"What is this caring you provide for them expect food, money and military but no formal education nor healthcare or either proper sanitation I may say,"
"The Kingdom of Atlantis and its colonies are none of the matter of the Kingdom of Nile, which I may say does not have all its colonies prepared for war or any attack from neighbouring Kingdoms,"
I knew it, from the start, he was this type of male.
"The colonies of Nile, are not protected by the military but their have their own system of protection and establishing the law, Prince Adam not to be crude but least my people are known to live longer lives to your people," I finally said before folding my arms with aggression.
The aura of silence pervaded the Hall.
The tables have finally turned.
My mind ran with arguments of proper healthcare and education. Being a nagging female, I couldn't stop but put in my last 2 cents.
"And of course, the Kingdom of Atlantis does not of word vaccination do they?"
"Vaccination," the Prince said it like it was a forgeign word to him. He seems to say it over and over, tasting the flavour of this new word.
My eyes widen at his reaction. I wanted to burst in a fit of laughter but then I wanted to be a concern because if he didn't know then the rest of his Kingdom doesn't know either. Finally, it was the anger cause of ignorance these people held not know what vaccinations are.
"He's handsome but not that bright is he," Allison commented before averting her eyes somewhere else.

Arguing about real life issues, sorry I had to that.
