My body has started to excrete sweat underneath my dress. The stranger still held his hand around my wrist rather tightly.

"Who are you?" I question, still having my back towards him.

Then a sudden strong arm reaches around me and pulls my waist to face this stranger that caught my wrist.

Facing the stranger, he's much taller than me and he's dressed in a uniform that I not very familiar with. He towers over me; making me take a step back before realising my wrist was still in his hand.

He had shorter brown hair that seems to tousled down to his strong brows. He moves closer while moving his hand from my wrist to my fingers. I gulp at his sudden movements. The dim lights shone on to his eyes, his striking green eyes.

"Sorry for my poor manners but I had to see you, princess, I am General Atticus of the Nation of Atlantis," he says instantly bowing to me.

My eyes follow his movements until I'm staring back to his green eyes.

"I'm just here to give you a very warm welcome to your willingness to join our campaign," he smiles making me softly smile back.

I can see the hilt of his sword; it's golden and it has pure glint to it.

He follows the direction of my eyes. "Has that sword harm people?" I question.

"It only serves the purpose of her King," he says placing a hand over the hilt.

Regrading the time, General Atticus politely excuses himself from my presence before disappearing into the darkness of the hall.

Finally arriving in my private chambers, I settle into the bed for a few minutes before carefully removing my dress.

I let the dress slip down my slender pale body as I notice the scars on my arm; how the needle penetrated my skin so roughly and painfully.

Then an abrupt knock wakes me from my observation of my body.

"Dru let me in," I hear Allison whine. I quickly drape my white nightgown on my body. Opening my chamber doors, I'm met with teary Allison.

"Brandon, again?" as I rose one of my eyebrows. She nods still streaming tears down her rosy cheeks.

"He's such a vixen; how dare he flirts with another lady while in my presence," she cries as she falls unto my bed. Her nightgown collar had her tears soaked in. Walking around to the other side of my bed; I carefully crawl into bed.

I pulled Allison body closer to mines and hugged her; she's bit smaller than me because of her age but she has a somewhat thicker body than mines. She settles her face on my shoulder and cries herself to sleep. I gently stroke her hair as I silently fall asleep too.

I knew not to say anything about Brandon because it will surely make her cry more tears.

I woke up to the neighs of horses and clanging of armour. I woke instantly and walked over to the window of my chamber that had a perfect view of the courtyard.

I can see General Attius giving a letter to a messager on a horse. I felt a sudden knot at the bottom of my stomach.

I was nervous and I didn't like it.

"Ow, my back," I hear Allison whine as she wakes up rubbing her puffy eyes.

"Good, morning, Allison," I greeted her as I quickly dressed into my less formal dresses I bought to the Neutral Grounds.

Before Allison could touch the floor with her feet, I was already out and down the stairs at a steady pace.

I see Raymond, my brother, packing something. "Raymond, Raymond, what in the heavens is happening?"

He gives me a look of cautiousness. "One of the clans of the Kingdom of Jordan has declared war on Atlantis." My eyes widen at his words.

An attack.

War

Blood

Death

Before I could even say anything, a single thought of Prince Adam flashes towards me. Where was he? Was he preparing for the War?

"Father is aware of the situation and has called some carriages to take you and Allison back home."

"Wait, what about the campaign?" I question earnestly.

"Father and King of Atlantis have postponed the campaign for a later period, Dru, if the clan gets the whole Kingdom of Jordan involved then death, is upon hundreds maybe even thousands," my brother grievously says.

He hates death as much as I do; he despises how mother died.

"I have to speak to the Prince the last time, Raymond please tell me where he is?"

"He's near the entrance getting ready."

Running into the courtyard; I don't see the Prince but just his men. Walking further; I see him but as I come closer he's already on his horse.

Before I could say something; he rides off as I watch how his hair moves in the wind and how he's carvings into his armour seem to be alive.
