Warning : Mentions of death, Gore and decapitated heads
"We just burned an innocent teen—alive." Socks whispered, staring at the lava pool. Guilt seeped into his veins, spreading inside him like a parasite does to a tree.
What will they tell Nadwe's parents? They were already unsure that their son gets to go on a mission with bunch of adults, and if the crew return to earth and told his parents that they not only accuse their son of a murder, but also killed him—Socks couldn't imagine. He was guilty of the murder of a minor.
"Socks?" Meme's voice snapped him from his trance.
The orange spaceman looked at the doctor. For some reason whenever he looked at Meme, his heart would flutter and he would feel butterflies in his stomach. But this time, it was overshadowed by the guilt.
"Its my fault." Socks muttered. He looked at the fallen double tophats from Nadwe's head. "I killed him."
He felt a hand on his shoulder. Meme's hand.
"Socks—"
"I'm gonna find who the impostors are." Socks looked at the doctor, his eyes glazed with determination. "And I will throw them to the lava pool myself."
He stood up and walked away, ignoring Meme who chased after him. A new fire of ambition flared inside him. He will find who the impostors are. And he will not stop until he did.

Hours have passed since Laff and Nadwe's death. The crew were still shaken but most are alright. They did their tasks and continued researching on the supposedly life in the planet except for bacterial life. So far they found none.
The bacterial life was fascinating enough for sure. There was a lot and nearly all of it is unrecognizable. They studied it with the microscope and send most of the results to MiraHQ.
It was oddly quiet and peaceful. No reported bodies yet. Maybe the impostors didnt want to kill more people or they want to take it slow. Or maybe they are afraid to get caught and be thrown into the lava pool like Nadwe did.
No. Thinking about Nadwe's death still stings. Socks was responsible for the boy. He made a promise and he broke it. Shattered it. Dropped it to a pool of boiling hot lies just like he ordered to drop Nadwe into lava. Its all his fault.
Shut those thoughts already. You're supposed to be finding the impostor idiot
Socks inhaled. He wasn't focusing. He has to focus. How would he find who the impostors are if he wasnt focusing. He looked at the map in admin. It shows small blobs in places where there are crewmates locations in it. There was one person in storage. Two people were in Boiler Room. One person in just wandering. One person was in Weapons, presumably shooting asteroids so it doesn't fall to the planet surface judging by the vivid sound of a shooting gun in the background.
One person was in Specimen Room. And there was one person in medbay. Socks suspected it was Meme. After all, the doctor claimed every medbay available is his territory. Socks chuckled imagining Meme sitting like a vulture, eyeing people coming into medbay like a security camera and staring at everyone whenever they do their task.
Socks stared at the blob that was in medbay. He didn't even know if it was Memegod but he hoped it is. He wanted to protect the doctor for some reason. He felt like it was his responsibility to do it. Well-he does have to protect the entire crew but with Meme--he just wants to protect him.
Since sleeping together in the same bed, Socks always felt safe around Meme and he wanted Meme to feel safe around him too. He also feels more than that. Like a feeling that is more than friendship. He never felt like this with any other person except with Meme.
