Trigger Warning : Mentions of death and being burned alive

The meeting table was already crowded when Meme and Socks got there. People were arguing with each other, yelling insults and accusation on what happened to Laff. Blamed seemed to be on Nadwe since the 14 y/o was the last person with Laff.

"As I said before, I was inspecting the samples and didn't see what happened to Laff. And suddenly bada bing bada boom he's dead in decontamination." Nadwe responded to the accusations.

"Thats likely, what if you're the imposter and made up this story after killing Laff and reported his body to seem innocent?" Joocie snapped back. Nadwe rolled his eyes.

"You know with all of this things you said to me, what if you're the impostor? You seem so keen about sending an innocent teen into space." He crossed his arms.

Wander and Tenson shared a glance. Wander shook his head and whispered something to his boyfriend. Tenson frowned but proceeded to listen to the chaotic meeting. Meme raised an eyebrow. If they have an idea about who the imposter is based on what he heard in Security, why don't they just tell it?

"Hey, hey, hey. Calm down!" Socks ordered, slamming his hand on the meeting table. The entire room went quiet. Socks and Laff have always been the leaders in the ship so everyone had to listen to them.

"Now you have to start from the beginning. Screaming doesn't get us anywhere." He continued in his usual leading tone. "Now who wants to speak first?"

"I do!" Nadwe raised his hand so quickly, he nearly knocked off his double top hats. "So Laff and I were in Polus' medbay and he went to fix wires in bathroom near decontamination while I inspect the samples. Suddenly I hear Laff yelping and the doors to decontamination close."

Nadwe took a deep breath. "All I remember was me shouting and asking whats wrong and seeing blood from the doorway crack." His voice shook. "The doors took so long to open and when it did—I saw Laff's body and reported it."

He closed his eyes. It must be traumatic for a 14 year old teenager to see Laff's bloody and torned apart corpse.

Tenson looked at Sunlit expenctantly. Sunlit shook her head.

Meme thought about the figure in the hallway to O2. It was talking about a gas mask--did it kill Laff? He is the only one with the gas mask in the ship. So if the figure was the imposter, how did it get to the hallway so fast? Decontamination and O2 hallway is on the opposite side of the base. Plus the figure not only killed Laff, walk from decontamination to O2, but it also managed to listen to Sunlit's and Tenson's conversation.

"Did you see anything suspicious around there? Or people who's acting suspicious?" Socks asked again. Nadwe shook his head. The orange spaceman bit his lips and scrunched his eyebrows, clearly in thinking mode. Meme thought he looked cute doing that.

"Can I get a chance to speak now?" Joocie asked, raising his hand. Socks nodded absent mindedly.

"So..." Joocie repositioned his crooked snorkel on top of his head. "Its kinda weird isn't it? No suspects or suspicious activity around the area, and the only person that was with Laff since the beginning is Nadwe."

Murmurs of agreement filled the table. Nadwe wanted to protest but was shushed by Meme. He wanted to hear Joocie's thought process first.

"Its a high possibility that Nadwe waited for the coast to be clear, killed Laff and made up the entire story he just told. After all, no one could prove the right or wrong of the version of his story since no one is around to witness it. He could be telling a lie and we wouldn't know or telling a truth and we still wouldn't know. So thats my take, he killed Laff and made up a story that no one can make a false claim against it." Joocie finished telling his thought process.
