Chapter XV: Aftermath

*Y/N's POV*

It's a surprise none of us died in that explosion, Seryu or whatever her name was exploded from the inside so Aura couldn't help her at all and Bols, he was too close to the barrel he was carrying, I wonder if their corpses remained or... if there is only ash.

Mine: "Psstt Y/N." I looked at her, she was in the same room as me... Najenda's orders for some reason.

You: "What is it?"

Mine: "Are you able to move?" I tried moving my limbs and... I could only move a few fingers on my right hand, other than that, nothing.

You: "I can't... what do you want?"

Mine: "I'm thirsty... I didn't drink anything at all."

You: "Umm... I... I don't know what to do."

Mine: "It's fine, the nurses should arrive in a while." And just as she said that they did, took some tests on us and then... helped us eat and drink... they even took Mine to the toilet."

Nurse: "Mr. Belladonna, you'll recover soon, sooner than Mine."

You: "That's great."

Nurse: "You two are strong fighters and make a good couple, I see why Najenda ordered to place you two together."

You: "It's that obvious huh?"

Nurse: "Not in the slightest but I've been told and even saw that Mine always picks a fight the first thing with someone new... to test him, but you... I heard she was nice since the very begging."

You: "Well, I guess yeah. But you know you shouldn't believe what others say in different situations, but this one is true."

Nurse: "Well your tests are done, I'll be going now."

Mine and the other nurse returned, she helped Mine get on the bed again and helped her drink some water.

Nurse: "Ms. Pumpkin are you sure you're okay?"

Mine: "Yes, though I feel a little dizzy now."

Nurse: "Hm alright, I'll let you rest, that's the best we can do."

Mine: "Okay." The second nurse left as well... but the doors soon opened again revealing Najenda, Akame and Leone who were the only ones unaffected.

Najenda: "So, how are you two?"

Mine: "I'm getting better now."

You: "I've been feeling well actually."

Najenda: "We have great news for you considering that mission. Esdeath, Seryu and Bols are all confirmed to be dead, Kurome is in a cell in our hideout waiting to be interrogated and we found a few files that confirm Ozpin's corrupted power."

You: "Can this wait... I'm not in any shape to absorb any new info."

Mine: "I agree.

Leone: "I told you it was too early."

Akame: "Maybe you should be interested, especially you Y/N."

You: "Me? Why me?"

Akame: "Because in those files we found that you were supposed to be forced to join Beacon and I guess if you'd deny you should be killed."

You: "Another one who wants me dead, I'm not surprised at this point."

Leone: "That wasn't only you but certain other students as well... if they wouldn't accept... they'd face a death of someone close to them..."

You: "You're serious?"

Mine: "I think that's pretty convincing."

Najenda: "We need Bulat, Lubbock, Tatsumi and Sheele to wake up too... there are other things we need to discuss."
