Chapter III: News

*Y/N's POV*

It's been 1 year since I was imprisoned in my own home. The food was disgusting and treatment wasn't any better, but there were brighter times, for example when I had a birthday I was allowed outside my room to celebrate it... or when mom was feeling a little too generous she gave me a bit more edible stuff.

But other than that nothing much changed, they got surprised that I didn't escape yet. Blake even went to Beacon to become a huntress, when she was leaving she didn't even look at me.

You: "Mom!"

Kali: "What now...."

You: "Can you at least give me a radio?"

Kali: "No can do, you don't deserve it."

Ghira: "No Kali, give it to him. What can he do with it."

Kali: "Alright... wait why do you even want it."

You: "Wanna hear what's going on in the world is all."

That was kind of a lie. I heard news once or twice during the time I was locked up there about a group named Night Raid who was terrorizing the world... they were awesome in my eyes... but I don't know much about them. They are like shadows. I remember two things... they killed some important Vale person and one of the members is called Akame.

I don't know how she looks or what happened with her so if I met her I wouldn't be able to recognize her...

Mom gave me the radio and I turned it on.

News: "Hello everyone and welcome to noon Vale news, this time around we're going to set our attention to the mysterious terroristic group named Night Raid who you might have heard of only a few times."

Ghira: "Them? They still are at large?"

News: "As it turns out today at around 10 am there was a murder of one of the Beacon's students who dared to get in their way, unfortunately we have no information on who is the student, the police are doing their best to recognize the body but with no use."

Just as he said that, mom pulled out her scroll and called Blake who answered. So it wasn't her.

News: "Additionally witnesses say they have striked like a lightning... and just as fast too. We have one of them on the scene."

Witness: "I-I don't know what happened exactly, that student was my regular customer and I was talking with her when with literally a blink of an eye there was a hole through her skull. I didn't see anybody."

Awesome! Sniper as well, that group is made for me. At least now I have a reason to finally escape

News: "It must've been a terrible sight."

Witness: "It was, Oum I can't get the picture out of my head... this is all terrible,somebody should stop them."

News: "There you have it. Night Raid. A group of murderers who don't fear to strike anyone, anywhere, at any time."

I listened to the whole news before I returned the radio to not make it suspicious for them.

When night fell I got ready to escape...

I found out that there's a sprayer deodorant in my bathroom I didn't even know about, so I took it and realized it's flammable, normally that wouldn't be of any use but to me who can make such things explode, it is very useful.

I made a spark in my hands and sprayed it, the flame was quite large, then I threw it towards the barred window and snapped my fingers, result was a giant explosion that made the ground shake, I ran away before my parents could check on me through the smoke screen, once they will arrive and it will clear up I will be long gone.
