y/n looked as if they had seen a ghost when they saw Tendou. Before y/n could walk away, he grabbed their hand. tears fell down y/n's face as they muttered. "I guess the secret is out," Tendou held y/n as they cried in his shoulder. He pets the back of y/n's head, rocking them slowly in a tight warm hug."shhh, y/n it's ok, you did nothing wrong, shhh you don't need to cry, I'm not mad or upset with you," Tendou said gently comforting y/ny/n sniffled and looked up with watery eyes. "I'm sorry for hiding it,"Tendou wiped y/n's tears "hey, it's ok."y/n grabbed his hand that wasn't in a cast, holding it "let's go to the roof."
Tendou nodded, and y/n helped Tendou get up to the roof with his crippled hand.That evening, they sat on the rooftop of the hospital. Y/n explained all of her medical conditions to Tendou as the sun set."I have a disease.... it um, its fatal." y/n said hesitantlyTendou's eyes widened as his heart broke "how much time-" y/n interrupted, "I'm not sure, anywhere from now to 30ish years, but as you can probably tell, I'm not doing too well" y/n had a small smile and held Tendou's hand
"having a disease isn't a straight road, it's a bumpy one. Currently, I'm just trying to get past a bump, but my road hasn't ended yet. I don't know much, but what I do know is you make me happy, and I want to spend the rest of my days with you, even if its 1 day, 5 weeks, 8 months, or 30 years, I just want to be around you" y/n said resting their head on Tendou's shoulder.
"Why did you hide it?" Tendou asked, feeling mixed emotions"I don't know, I don't like being sad, I don't have enough time left to be sad, however long it is, and I worried that if I said it, you wouldn't want to be around me, afraid of getting attached, that's why you are my only friend, they always leave Tendou; are you gonna leave too now?" y/n asked, staring him in the eyes"no, I'll stay with you as long as you want y/n, I'm not ever going away. " Tendou reassured, hugging y/n
tears formed in y/n's eyes "thank you, Satori." "of course, y/n. In fact, I will come to visit you every day. I'm in my cast since I'm off work while this heals," Tendou said with a smile holding up his bandaged hand. "Woah! what happened!?" y/n questioned
Tendou explained, and the two laughed and talked together until it got dark out, sharing headphones and cuddling to keep themselves warm.
