The week was torture for Tendou. It went by the slowest it's ever been. Everything seemed like it was in slow motion. Even the seconds ticking on the clock felt like minutes. each day felt like its own lifetime, and each small interaction with y/n after work went by as if minutes were milliseconds. y/n sent quick good morning and goodnight texts nothing too serious, but Tendou found y/n goes to bed early and wakes up late, they get alot of sleep, a lot more than the average adult.
When Friday came around, Tendou made sure he smelled nice and was clean. He got out of work five minutes early, so he could go change into casual clothes he had brought. When he was outside, he saw y/n sitting on a bench, wearing a similar outfit. They both had on simple jeans and simple shirts, and some sneakers. the only difference was the color. "y/n!" Tendou said, walking over waving his hand
y/n's head perked up in a similar way he did almost two weeks ago."satori!" they said, standing up and running over, locking Tendou in a tight hug.Tendou's smile could only grow as he wrapped his hand around their waist. They were shorter than him, but it didn't matter to him. He liked y/n's personality over anything else."you ready to go?" he askedy/n nodded "follow me!" Tendou nodded.y/n led Tendou to an ice cream stand, and the two had gotten ice cream. As the two were eating, y/n was taking him to their next location.
"a hospital?" Tendou said, tilting his head"no silly, the roof of a tall building, now hurry before the sunsets!" y/n exclaimed, the two had finished their ice creams, so y/n began climbing the ladder built into the side of the hospital. Tendou followed. He was excited and loved that y/n was spontaneous, more than he thought they would be.The two sat on the edge of the roof of the hospital together, watching the sunset.
"I didn't think you were cool at first. You seem like your more on the rational side," Tendou said"I am, or I was. You see something, happened a while ago, and I changed. I was very focused on grades. The worse rule I would break would be staying up on a school night. I had such a precise plan for my life, then something happened, and it wrecked everything you know," y/n said, looking into the distance at the sunset.
Tendou couldn't take his eyes off y/n "I'm sorry," he didn't pry. He figured if y/n wanted to tell him, they would."Oh, don't be sorry! It was a curse yet a blessing, a double-edged sword of sorts. you see I realized, I wasn't happy living my life the way I was, and when this big thing happened, it changed my perspective on life." y/n said with a smile"and what is this new perspective you have," Tendou said suspiciously
"to live your life to the fullest, you never know when it could end." y/n responded glancing away from the sunset
Tendou smiled. The way the lighting hit y/ns face gave HIM the new perspective "is it just me, or has the atmosphere gotten sad" Tendou joked
y/n tilted their head, "I don't think so, I'm happy. you know Tendou, we only met a little over a week ago, but it feels like we have been friends for years."Tendou nodded. "I swear I've seen you somewhere. What high school did you go to?"y/n's eyes widened, "Oh uh... you know some fancy school, you probably wouldn't know of it." y/n tried to dodge the questionTendou chuckled, gently pushing y/n to the side. "Ah, I see, one of the rich kids, eh? I went to a 'fancy' school too, Shiritorizawa." y/n nodded, "I've definitely heard of that school."
The two kept talking, getting to know each other until the sunset and it had gotten dark outside. Tendou wanted to walk y/n home, but they denied his request multiple times, offering to walk him home instead. Tendou eventually agreed, and the two walked to his house.
later that night, Tendou stared at the good night text y/n sent. y/n sent him into deep thought. He couldn't stop thinking, to the point where he was unaware of his surroundings. He didn't even notice himself get tired. Only when he couldn't keep his eyes open did he realize how distracted he was.
