"Rosa look at me."
He whispered in a low, dominant tone that sounded almost like a growl.
My feet went weak to the sound of his deep voice, that is almost too unreal for this world.
Maybe very unreal.
It makes me feel weird but in a good way.
I quickly managed to gain my confidence and look up at him.
I frowned "What's gotten into you?"
My tone was soft to the ears. I didn't want to trigger him more that he already was.
But that didn't work.
"What's gotten into me? I'll tell you what. I was supposed to take his order not you. You should have stayed there without getting into trouble for him and without him hitting on you like that. You shouldn't have been close to him. But guess what? You didn't listen and went to him either way. That's what gotten into me 'Ro'."
He poured his anger on me, with a mocking tone when he emphasized the nickname that Caleb uses for me.
My blood started to boil as well but I tried to stay calm.
But how was I suppose to know what's going on his brain of his.
I was just doing my job.
"Are you even listening to yourself right now? I have a job to do, I can't just sit and wait for you to take Caleb's order, just because you don't want me near him. He gestured me to go to him in the first place so it's not my fault that this happened. And it's not my fault that he hits on me either. Don't get mad at me for something that I can't control.", I snapped back at him.
What he asks of me is ridiculous.
What the heck.
His gaze became angrier, if that was even possible. His frown on his face was so deep that for a second there, I froze under his dark aura.
But I'm right on what I said earlier. I can't just do what he says, it's my job and I can't be picky on the customer I want to serve.
He knew I was right as well but he didn't want to admit it. I could tell by the look he gave me.
I felt his grip on my wrists tightening at first, but he let go right after. However, he still remained close to me.
"I can understand that it's not your fault. But I can't bring myself to calm down when I see him near you. They way he talks to you. The way he looks at you with that disgusting stare that says that he wants to do bad things to you. I just can't sit and watch while I can interfere."
My gaze at him automatically softens when I sense the concern in his voice.
He did what he did out of worry.
I should be grateful instead of fighting with him.
He just wanted to protect me.
I let out a sigh and cup his face to make him look straight at me.
"Felix...I'm sorry for getting anrgy at you when all you wanted was to protect me. But I can take care of myself you don't have to worry so much. I know how Caleb is, and trust me when I say that I wouldn't waste a single moment to punch him in the gut if I had to.", I let out a faint laugh at my last words and he laughed as well."Just the next time, let me know what's going on to that head of yours before getting mad at me for no reason.", I added and gave him a smirk.
He nodded with a smile.
We were still keeping eye contact that was almost to intense for me to compromise.
I felt my face heating up a bit again.
