"Nooo don't make me wear that."
I lay my eyes on a very beautiful emerald green dress with white dots on it, short with long off-shoulder sleeves and a way too deep V cut neck. It's gorgeous but way too out of my comfort zone.
But Vicky insists me on wearing it for the festival this evening.
"Oh, shush. You are wearing this tonight. End of discussion." she said with an authorizing tone, like a mother nagging her daughter.
She looked straight at me with a frown on her face. I knew it wouldn't be easy to persuade this girl. She brought it for me after all.
"But...it shows way too much cleavage...and it's quite short as well." I scanned the dress and took a closer look. "Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful and I really appreciate that you bought it for me but-"
"And I bought it for you to wear this specific day. So go dress up and get ready for the night. Everyone will be there after all. We should be dolled up. Don't tell me you were planning on wearing a hoodie again..?", she cut me off and raised a questioning eyebrow at me.
I give her a sheepish smile, as if I was caught red handed. "Well...that wouldn't be a bad idea, if you would ask me."
"For God's sake Rosalynn, you can't be serious. It's a freaking festival, our old friends will be there along with the whole town. You can't just be eating the muffins every year. Do something else just for this once, get out of your comfort zone. Doll up."
She looks at me with pleading eyes and I give her a poker face, not wanting to resist her.
Just then her face lits up with an idea. She opens her mouth and says "Besides, these little cute energetic boys will be there as well, ahem-Felix-ahem-that-is-ahem.", she fake coughed and gave me a smirk.
My eyes widened when I realised how she stated her words.
"Shut up. Drop it already." I whined and hid my face from embarrassment. "You have already made a fool out of me infront of them." I gave her a glare through the gap between my fingers but then sighed heavily. "But fine, I'll wear the dress just for this once. Just because you want to."
She smiled widley and hugged me very tightly-
Gosh I can't breathe-
"Only because I want to huh? Mhm whatever ya say gurl. I can see through your lies."
She said as she broke the hug and smirked at me again.
"Bish I ain't lying.", I scoffed and rolled my eyes at her.
But she didn't believe me.
I wouldn't believe my own self either...
ahEm.
We were currently inside my room getting ready for the festival. I don't even know how quick the weekdays passed by. The boys came to like Vicky although sometimes the run away from her hiding behind my back.
It's a love-hate relationship with them.
They say that she's not like me and they don't really like her as much as they like me.
I laugh every time I see them bicker around for who they believe I love the most. My best friend or them.
To be honest I never get involved in their fights. I just sit there and laugh my ass out.
I love all of them so much, I don't want to pick sides because I'm afraid of hurting someone.
I look up in the mirror and check myself. Putting some light make-up on, curling my brunette locks lightly and wearing some accessories. I finally made my way to my bed, where the dress was laying all along.
