Possible trigger warning for some - description of death

----

She couldn't breathe. She needed some fresh air. She gave Steve the picture before she went outside. She began to cry. She couldn't believe it. How was this possible? Her mother was alive. Sia knew. She had met her. Her father knew. She was the only one who didn't know anything. She sat down on the porch placing her head between her legs. She needed to control her breathing. She sat like this for a while before the door was opened behind her.

"I don't know what to say." Steve sat down beside her. "I am so sorry [y/n]." He stroked her back, trying to comfort her.

"How is this possible? I saw her at the hospital. She was so sick. How could she leave us alone with him?" She was angry. Angry that they lied. Angry that her mother had left her. Angry that she grew up with her father abusing her. She didn't know what to think or what to do. She thought that she was all alone. That she had no one. Reality was that her mother had been alive this whole time. She needed to find Sia more than ever. She needed to know what was going on.

"She gave me Sia's last known address." Steve gave her a piece of paper. She looked at it. 9 Oxford PL, Aston, Pennsylvania. "It isn't that far. We can be there in an hour." She nodded. This was the only thing they had to go with. She got up and walked towards the car. None of them saw the van.

She didn't say a word on the drive. She looked out the window the whole time. Steve placed his hand on her thigh when he wasn't shifting gears. They got to the place around seven PM. She looked around. It looked a lot like the neighborhood they lived in with her father.

"What are the chances that she is still living here?" She asked and looked at Steve. Her head was hurting. It had been a long day. She couldn't believe all the information she had gotten. Her mother, alive. Her father, dead. Her sister didn't got away. She was angry with S.H.I.E.L.D. She knew she had no one to confront. Nick Fury didn't have anything to do with her becoming an agent in the first place. The ones who trained her were all dead or long gone. She had no one to blame but herself. She should've made sure that Sia was out of the house. She should've visited her. She shouldn't have giving up so easy.

"I don't know. But we never know if we don't try." Steve tried to sound encouraging but failed. She took a deep breath and walked out the car. "You want to go alone?" Steve was still sitting inside the car with a rolled down window.

"I think so." She said and forced a smile.

"I wait here. Call me if you need anything. And take as long as you need." She walked over to him and kissed him through the window.

"Thank you." She whispered, before walking up to the house. She took a deep breath before knocking on the door. She heard footsteps on the other side. Fast, small footsteps. The door was opened. A little girl with big blue eyes looked up at her.

"Who you?" She asked with a childish voice. [Y/n] looked at her.

"Hey. Is your mom or dad home?" She asked and tried to smile sincerely.

"Momma." The kid yelled. She could feel her heart beating faster. Would she find her sister? Would it be Sia who came to the door? A blond, tall woman came to the door. She had the same blue eyes.

"Can I help you?" She asked a pushed the kid behind her.

"I hope so. I am [y/n] [y/l/n]. I am looking for my sister." The woman turned pale. She looked like she had seen a ghost.

"Camille, go to your room." She told the kid.

"But momma." She cried.

"Now!" The kid, Camille, did what she was told. The woman walked outside and closed the door behind her. "How did you find me?" She asked and looked around the area. She saw the car with Steve inside and froze. [Y/n] looked back at Steve before answering.
