Chapter 3

I had slept for around 3 hours and then woke up at around 11:30. My heart was racing, my chest was tight, my palms were sweaty and I just couldn't breathe. I couldn't believe this was happening to me this was the last thing I needed right now. I propped myself up against the wall grasping onto my bottle of water trying to focus on my breathing but it didn't seem to be working this time. I just kept trying "in one two three hold four five six release seven eight nine ten eleven". I really was trying my hardest but my anxiety was taking over. Fiona turned over "y/n is that you ?". I take a deep breath in wiping my tears trying to compose myself even just for a minute "yeah it's me sorry I didn't mean to wake you" more tears fell down my face. She sits up "is everything ok". I nod a little "yeah everything is fine". She turns the lamp on and looks at me "hey no your not come here" she pats the space on the bed next to her. I stand up my breathing starting to pick up again no longer able to compose myself and climb up onto the bed next to her. I didn't know what to expect but what happened next wasn't what I expected whatsoever she pulled me into a hug holding me tightly "just breathe in and out slowly for me in through your nose out through your mouth darling". I nodded and did as she said but then started to gay panic inside she just called me darling. Eventually I manage to calm down and I sit up going to get out of bed but she stops me and holds my arm "stay...please". I just nod and curl up next to her. She wraps her arms around me and I smile. Out of all things to expect from Fiona Goode this was not one I was still confused on why she was being how she was with everyone else and different with me but for once I didn't mind. I close my eyes and gently drift off to sleep comfortably in her arms.
