The Boy Next Door

chapter 4

Vals POV:
Ugh today's the day. Well later it is. It was 2:39 am. I couldn't sleep. I keep thinking about Hawk. I close my eyes and fall asleep. I wake up and see Jarold (my ex boyfriend) on top of me covering my mouth and taking off my clothes and r##ping me. I was terrified.
*RING RING*
I wake up it's a dream. I wake up in a pool of sweat. I rush to the shower and get ready. Wasn't sure what I was gonna wear.

I threw this on and waited for Hawk too text me. I ate breakfast. My parents left for work already but they left me 20 bucks so I can grab food after school.
*ping ping*

I walk outside and get in his car. He bought me coffee. "Here you go" he says handing me the coffee" "Thank you". We get too school and we park and walk up. "Wow this my school. New school, new friends, new life, and new me" I say. "You're such a nerd" he says rubbing my head". "Shush it". We walk in and I go get my schedule. "Let's see what classes we have together" he grabs my paper. "Oh sweet. We have all our classes together" he says. "Yay". I was sorta relieved we had the same classes because he can help me out. We walk too first period and he goes with his groups of friends and they all laugh at me including Hawk. That kinda hurt. A boy with black hair and a burgundy shirt invites me over to the table. "Hey don't mind them, their all mean ever since Cobra Kai". "Oh" I say upsettingly while looking at Hawk. "Hey don't let Eli get you upset. We were best friends before Cobra Kai". "Oh. I'm sorry too hear that. What happened?". "He became a doucebag and mean". "Oh. He's my neighbor. We met yesterday. He seemed really nice but he was laughing at me". "Don't worry you can be my partner for our class" he says smiling also grabbing my schedule. "We have all classes so we can be partners for every class if you want" he says happily. "Of course! My name is Val, whats yours?". "Demetri". "Well Demetri Ill see you next period!".
* time skips too lunch *

I didn't know where to sit. Demetri wasn't in sight. I saw Hawk so I went over top his table. "Hey Hawk how was your day so far?" I say. " you are?". I walk away and he laughs. My heart dropped. He was being a doucebag. I see Demetri and 3 pretty girls. He invites me over. "Hey guys!, my name is Val!" I say hopefully trying too make friends. "Hey im Moon!" "I'm Sam" "I'm Yasmine" they all seem nice. "Hey what's under this cloth?" Yasmine asks Demetri. He pulls off the cloth and behold, a beautiful giant lego volcano appears. "Wow this is so nice!" I say because it's really nice. "Press the egg". I proceed too press it. "Wow" everyone at the table says. The volcano irrupted with smoke on top. Everyone claps and as soon as I know it, a soccer ball destroys it. We look around and it was Hawk and his friends. They were laughing. Demetri walks over to them and says "That took me 3 weeks to build". "Oh well that took my ball 3 seconds too destroy it". Sam walks over to them saying some stuff I didn't hear. "Maybe you should go date someone and break his heart" Hawk says. I didn't know the drama since I was new. All I knew that it was a brawl between Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do. Sam pushes Hawk and a teacher comes over and gives Sam a warning. I try and comfort her. "Thanks Val" she says kinda mad but kinda relived. "No problem, that's what friends are for right".
The day ends and Hawk sends a message too me.

I see Hawk in his car. He tries and calls my name and I ignore him. As I'm walking home I was craving a Snickers Bar, Some chips and a drink. So I went too the mart in the strip mall that Hawk took me too. I grab what I wanted and left. I see Hawk and his friends outside of Cobra Kai waiting for it too open I guess. Unfortunately I had too walk down that way my GPS said. I walk and the boys were cat calling me. My mind went back too when Jarold cat called me and took me too the alley and raped then beat me. Ugh. All of a sudden I feel a hand on my shoulder and I punch him and flip him over without seeing who it was. "Omg Hawk I'm so sorry". "It's okay Val-" he said too me but cut off once his friends starting laughing. "You serious? I can't even get your number?" He says trying too impress his friends. "Don't text me. I don't wanna see you" I say crying. I go home. And I take a shower, go in my room and get dressed.
I hear a knock on my window.

A/N : ou Val saw Hawks true colors but she didn't expect that. Maybe Demetri was right about Hawk. Maybe she wanted to see the soft innocent side of Hawk. Anyways I'll write chapter 5 later!
