*I hear a knock from the window*

I open my curtains and see Hawk climbing up from the ladder. "Hey-" "Get out Hawk" I cut him off quickly. "I'm sorry" he says but he doesn't seem like he means it. "No. I saw the real you. Actions speak louder than words. That hurt me". "You hurt me by flipping me over". He says trying too make me laugh. "Okay now goodbye". "No no". He says coming in my room through my window. "Why were you talking too Demetri? You know I don't like him" "you don't like him? He was your best friend. Plus just because you don't like him doesn't mean I decant be his friend. He's really nice and sweet Eli". I say because I start getting anxious. "Stop talking to him before I hurt you". He says in a threatening tone. "You'd actually hurt me?". "This is not the Hawk I met yesterday. I don't wanna speak too you. Goodbye. Get out my room". He proceeded too leave.
Later that night I notice our bedroom windows look right at each other. He writes me a note saying he's sorry like in that Taylor Swift music video. I text him.

I start crying because I thought he was better than his. His words "Before I hurt you" hurt me. I get flashbacks of Jarold hurting me. Threatening me. Harassing me. I think, did he rape me because of the stuff I was wearing? Was it my fault? Should I have said no to his date?. Should I join Cobra Kai? To see how Hawk really is? Or too protect myself more? I kinda know karate. I overthink that night then wrote in my diary then slept.
I keep waking up in the middle of the night too messages from Hawk. I turn off my ringer. Great solution right?. I wake up and it's 8:29 am. "Shit shit I missed 1 & 2nd period" I get ready in a rush putting on a bumy fit.

I put that on and a messy bun along with my black crocs. I Uber too school in the middle of 3rd period. I give the teacher my late slip. It's so embarrassing walking into class in the middle of it. It was Chemistry and the teacher made us into groups of 2. I don't really listen too the names he assigns. I just look out the window at the beautiful trees. As soon as the teacher says "Val and Eli" I start getting mad because I wanted no contact with him whatsoever. He comes too my desk. He attempts too talk to him but I ignore him. I don't even make eye contact with him. He accidentally hits me with his Mohawk. His Mohawk. That's what made me fall in love with him the first time I met him I tell myself. "Sorry Val" he says. "Mhm" "I'm sorry about-". I look at him into his eyes specifically and say "Let's just get the assignment done". I put on my AirPods and work. He finishes his work before I do. He hands me his work to copy down since I had trouble. I copy it down and the bells rings. I grab my things and leave. I look at my phone and 11 messages from Hawk throughout the night.

I look at my phone and leave him on read. Finally school ended. I went to the mart on my way home. I see Cobra Kai empty with a older man in it. I decided, "it's finally time I join Cobra Kai. It'll boost my confidence right?". I walk in and say "Hello? Is anyone here?". A man walks out from the back and says "Welcome". "What are you doing here" he says. "I wanna sign up". I say putting down my bag. "Cobra Kai is about showing No Mercy. Remember that. Follow me" he says. I follow him and he brings me in the back where the punching bag was. "Let's see what you can do". I punch the bag hard and kick it down. "Impressive. Let's wait until practice starts and we'll go from there". "Okay Sir" I say. "No no, it's Sensei Kreese".
The bell of the door was ringing. I see Hawk and other Cobra Kais but they don't see me. "Line up" The man said. They lined up and did warmups. I joined them. We all form a circle and Sensei said "New girl come up". He brings out a heavy boy, I think his name was Mitch. We bow too each other and fight. He sweeps my foot and I fall. I get up and throw punches making him dizzy. I sweep his leg and turn him around to his face facing the mat and pull his arm too his face. "She's a natural Cobra" Sensei said. "You're in".
