i don't mind spending time alone
i kinda like my quiet days
but at night i wish that there was
someone next to me where i lay
like the moon
who is always there for me
when the sun is resting
to wrap me up and hold me tight
with it's gracious moonlight
where time is still, just you and i
and stars paint the sky
like a smile of my parted lips
just thinking about it
that's all i'm really missing in my life
a moon that only shines for me
and with me
