Demon slayer (tanjiro x OC fanfiction)

5: I'm okay, I swear!

I woke up in the broken house. I noticed the enemies were gone and I was surrounded by everyone. "Ozawa are you ok?" Tanjiro asked worryingly. "She's fine!" Yushiro said. "You are lucky to be alive" he said angrily at me. I tried to get up but my limbs were weaker than normal. "Lie back down please Miyako, you're not fully healed yet" Tamayo said. I got up anyway but I was wobbling. Nearly crashing back onto the ground again Tanjiro put my arm around his shoulder helping me to stand. I was leaning on him. "It's okay Ozawa, we're safe for now" I hid my face and started blushing. "He's so sweet..." I thought. Tamayo interrupted our awkward conversation by saying they need to find a new home now. "Tanjiro, I think it would be safer if Nezuko came with us. Of course we can't ensure complete safety" she said. Tanjiro was in deep thought looking at his sister and back at her. "Thank you lady Tamayo but I'm afraid I will decline the offer, Nezuko will be staying with me." The sun was coming up and Nezuko went into her box. I went over to one of the walls so Tanjiro was able to get the box. He put my hand back on me so I was able to walk better. "Are you sure you are able to pull my weight and Nezuko's?" I asked. "Ozawa it's fine. Besides with Nezuko in there she barely weighs anything" he chuckled. We left the house and was walking in the city. The birds came back and saw me leaning. "You have a new mission!" he said. "Already?" Tanjiro asked. "Can't we wait? Ozawa is still healing" he continued. "I'll be fine Tanjiro, besides I'm nearly completely healed". He looked at me. "If you say so.." he said. We had complete eye contact. "His eyes.. So pretty.." I thought.

Breaking eye contact I asked the bird where our next mission is. "This next mission is in a house in the woods, rumours there is a demon living there" the bird said. "Thank you birdy" I said smiling and waving goodbye with my other hand.

--10 minutes later--

It seemed like we had been walking forever, I was able to balance and by myself walk "finally" I said. "Thank you so much Tanjiro," I said. "No need to thank me, I'm just glad you're okay" he replied. We started walking in a grass area and on what looked like a stone path. We saw in the distance a boy with yellow and orange hair in a yellow kimono and a girl. "Pleeeeasssse go out with meee!!!!" the boy screeched. I could see the girl wanted no business with him. "Leave me alone!" the girl yelled as she went away. The boy looked at us and said "what?" he started crying. "You two ruined it! That was the only chance of me finding a wife" he continued. I felt somewhat offended. "I had nothing to do with this" I thought to myself. He looked over at Tanjiro and he was disgusted. "Stop looking at me like that," the boy cried. The boy looked over at me and stopped his crying. "Well hello there beautiful" he said. "Don't even think about it" I said.

We continued walking as the boy had nothing better to do and followed us. "Are we there yet? I'm getting hungry" he said. I started to get irritated. We walked at least another mile and saw the house. Outside of it were two kids. A girl and a boy. Both looking terrified while facing the house. We came over to them and asked what was wrong. "O- our brother is st- still inside," they stuttered. I didn't get a good feeling about this. "A DEMON?! DO YOU THINK ITS A DEMON?" the boy from earlier said. "Of course it's a demon you idiot" I said. Tanjiro came over to them and said "don't worry we will go in there and find your brother". "In the house you mean? I'm not going in there THERE MIGHT BE A DEMON" the boy said. "Honestly how did he become a demon slayer" I sighed. "You're helping whether you like it or not," I said, sounding annoyed. "I'm not going in unless I'm with her," he said clinging to my leg. About to punch him in the face I calmed my nerves and asked him a simple question. "What is your name?" "Zenitsu Agatsuma but you can call me Zenitsu milady" "okay Zenitsu do you want to die? If not, I suggest you get off of my leg" I said while getting my katana out. He jumped off as if his life depended on it. "Okay, okay fine but I'm still coming with you" Zenitsu said. I sighed. "In this case we will split up, I'll go with zenetzu and the boy you go with the girl to find her other brother" I said to Tanjiro. "Seems like we both are babysitting" he joked. He put down the box.

Tanjiro went in with the girl and we followed. All of a sudden the room we were in changed its look. It's a completely different room. Shocked I wasn't moving. Tanjiro and the girl went forward. I started walking up to them then the room changed again. Not seeing Tanjiro in sight I was starting to worry. However, I managed to keep a straight face. "Come," I said, going deeper into the house. "D-do I have to?" Zenitsu said afraid. Trying to stay strong, I kept walking. Both the boy and Zenitsu followed behind me. "Being the bravest is harder than I thought.." I thought. We stopped and at the corner of my eye I saw another room. I walked over to it and entered. Keeping my hand near my katana I was observing the room. "Seems all good to me.." I thought. Both Zenitsu and the boy entered the room. Shivering and shaking Zenitsu screamed his mouth off looking to the right of us.

I looked at him in disgust but then turned to where he was facing. A demon. "Help me, I'm going to DIEEEEEE!" Zenitsu said going behind me and grabbing my leg again. This time I wasn't as angry about it. "Get off me!" I said getting out my katana. He let go and went to the back of the room. "Hey pretty girl, what is someone like you doing around here?" the demon said. "Dont touch her!" Zenitsu shouted. The demon looked at him. He began shivering and stayed quiet. I looked triggered and finally got my blade out. "Don't touch me or the others!" I shouted. I looked behind and saw that Zenitsu had fallen asleep. "Guess it's just me fighting" I sighed. The demon had its tongue poking out. "Or what?" he replied. He started attacking me with his tongue but before he touched me. His tongue was sliced as quick as the speed of light. It was right in front of my eyes and I couldn't see it. Zenitsu got in front of me with a straight face. "What happened?" i thought. "I told you not to touch her," Zenitsu said. I could see that the demon was somewhat worried. I could feel that he was also confused by Zenitsu's vibe. He calmed himself. "Thunder breathing, first form thunderclap and flash" he said. Chopping off the demons tongue and head. "Woah.." I said "impressive". He woke up and said "where am I?" he started screaming again. "Ahh a demon!!! It's dead? Yay thank you for killing it! You are my hero" he started hugging me. Both me and the boy were super confused. I put my katana away and managed to push him off.

The room changed again and we somehow all were flying out a window. We landed on the ground outside to where we were before. "Ahh there's Tanjiro's box" I said. "Yeah.." Zenitsu replied. "Might I ask.. What is your name?" he continued. "Oh I forgot to tell you.." I said. About to speak we both heard noises in the bush. Unusual noises you would normally hear. "My name can wait, what we need to do to protect that box" i said. We moved as quickly as we could to get to the box. I got my sword out "show yourself!" I yelled. Out of the bush jumped a shirtless guy with some kind of boar head covering his. Running towards me, I stood my ground. "Come at me" I thought. Putting on my fighting face I knew I had nothing to lose. He swung his katana at me and missed. I was moving too fast to jump. I slashed my sword expecting to hit him but he slashed his. We continued slashing our swords for a while until I got tired. From all the sword fighting and sliced a bit of the skin off my foot. So much pain I felt and soon lost balance. Falling on the floor I became vulnerable. But he left me there continuing to walk to the box. "No, don't touch the box, it means alot too Tanjiro!" Zenitsu yelled. "Dont quit!" I thought. Trying to get myself up. At the corner of my eye I saw three other people falling out of the house. "Tanjiro," I said as I sighed in relief. Crawling to the pig guy to finish the fight. Tanjiro passed me seeing my injury and said "Ozawa stay there!" I listened to him. Despite feeling completely useless, I managed to get myself out of the way. "Stay away from my box!" Tanjiro yelled. "Why are you guys trying so hard to protect that box?! You know there's a demon in there!" the pig boy said. "OF COURSE I KNOW! I'VE KNOWN SINCE I FIRST MET HIM! But this box seems to mean alot to him so stay away!!!" Zenitsu said. But both Tanjiro and Zenitsu didn't stop. Until Tanjiro hit him in the head. So hard even I who was a few meters away could hear. "Ouch." I mumbled. "Wow.." he said. "You have a hard head" he continued as he took his hat off. "Woah.. he has such a pretty face" I said slightly blushing. However blood was all over it.

"Can we agree not to fight anymore?" Tanjiro asked. "Why? Because you got one clean hit? I think not" pig boy said. "No, because it's night time and we need to find somewhere to sleep," Tanjiro said. I managed to make my voice heard. "We need to return these kids to their homes," I reminded them. "That too," Tanjiro said. He picked up the box and came walking over to me. "Why is it that every time we are in the same space you can't walk?" Tanjiro asked jokingly. "I looked away blushing. He helped me up and the kids were returned safely to their homes. "Now where are we going to sleep?" I asked. My bird came flying by and said "go to the house at the top of the hill they will provide food and shelter". "So much walking today.." I thought. "So your name was Ozawa, was it not?" Zenitsu came over to me. "Forgot about him," I thought. "Indeed, and what was your name pig boy?" I asked. "The names Inosuke Hashibira," he replied.
