As you looked over at the clock the minute hand looked almost like it was moving backward, If that is even possible. You begged the clock to hit a time that was close enough for you to leave. The paperwork stack on your desk was mindlessly drawn through, while your conscious racked your brain of your plans tonight.

You felt like you couldn't focus, your body jittering with excitement of the expectations for your date with Aaron tonight. You had no clue what the plan was, but just thinking about it made your heart flutter.

Every so often as the day passed by, you found yourself glancing up at his office wondering what he was thinking about. You hoped he felt the same way, you wished that you could see into his mind, hoping that he had the same jitters that you had.

Yet each time you turned back to focus on your work after looking at his office, you couldn't help but smile. Your cheeks would swell with blush and your body would grow warm.  Evidently, you couldn't stop, but you didn't want it to.

"What's got you so smiley?" Emily peeped over at you and you shook your head at her in response, signing some line on the paperwork to show her that you are just working. "Don't try to hide it now." she laughed a little at your shyness.

"He is taking me out tonight." you giggled, still keeping your eyes on the paperwork. Your cheeks swelled up red again with blush, and you couldn't help but smile. Your heart fluttered again slightly.

"Aaron? aw that's so cute, what are you guys doing?" she asked while her chair suddenly scooted closer to you. She wanted all of the details. "I um... I'm not really sure actually. He is picking me up at seven, and we are going out to dinner. But that's all I know, I don't even know where we are going." you finished furrowing your brows slightly.

She looked at you for a second blankly. "Well it sounds fun, and I know that you will have the best of a time. Although, I guarantee it can't beat dunk board game night with me and Sergio like we used to have." she nudged you slightly trying to ease your nerves a bit.

"Those were really fun, we need to have more of them. Maybe we can invite pen and JJ, i mean it is always fun just the two of us and serg, but something about seeing either of them drunk could be quite fun," you said back to her before you both turned away to finish up paperwork.

As you went knee-deep into paperwork and filing, the only thing you could keep your mind on was what were you two guys going tonight. Your fingers flicked through the pages of paper, writing down your every move, thought, and description of the previous case. Others in the office began to leave and you barely noticed them, just trying to get your work done so that you can leave.

And when you finally broke through to that last piece of paper, writing down your steps of the takedown, you breathed a breath of relief knowing that you could finally leave. When you looked up, the clock had just struck 5:15 and you were shocked at the time, seeing that the last time you looked it was 2:45.

You packed up the stack of paperwork and took a deep breath as you walked over to Aaron's office to drop it off like you normally did. You knocked on the door with your elbow as your hands were full, and quickly it was opened.

"Hey," he said as his face lit up in your presence, "I have my paperwork," you said carrying the stack into his office. He closed the door behind you, presuming you were going to talk in there for a bit.

You lowered the stack into the section where all the others were and as you had, you sat on the edge of his desk while he sat in his chair. "So uh, where are we going tonight?" you said to him leaning back slightly.

"Oh well if I tell you then that ruins the surprise, now doesn't it princess?" his voice was deep as his words rolled off of his tongue like silk. You couldn't help but feel your body flutter at his words. "But how am I supposed to know what to wear?" you said back at him hoping that he would tell you what was happening.
